[Cade poses dramatically before his orb as it activates for the first time, rapier out and hat cocked just a bit to the side.]

Hello there, fellow heroes and heroines! The old man tells me I was brought here to save the world, and that this magic item is how I can speak with my fellow adventurers!
I am CADE MASTERS, ADVENTURER EXTRAORDINAIRE!!!! Villains the world over tremble at my name, from the ports of Lajuria to the northern reaches of Ustav-
...oh, right, you probably don't know what any of those places are. Well, anyways, just know that I am amazing. Now, I'm sure you are all very eager with questions and requests for autographs - it's so exciting to meet me and all that - but please try not to bombard me with all your communications at once!

My, my, an adventurer? [Granted, adventurers are a dime a dozen, especially in a fairy tale world, but she'll indulge this one. He's certainly handsome at least.]

[Oooh, a redhead! Cade has a thing for redheads. He makes his "best" flirty face at the returned image of the sexy lady.]

Oh yes, and not just any adventurer, lass. I have seen and done things most only hear of in stories.

Oh, we could be here for quite a while if I told them properly, and I do prefer to tell them properly, but I've defeated monsters and dragons, liberated cities, and frightened off armies! I've discovered lost treasures and forgotten techniques! I've seduced queens and yet resisted temptations that have killed many a lesser man!

Maybe if you come to Drunk Duck Tavern, I can tell you one of these tales in more exciting detail.

[The Drunk Duck Tavern. The local drinking establishment, the meeting place of all travelers, adventurers, and everyone and everything in between. It's hardly the sort of place a proper princess would go to.

But... Lavinia is hardly a proper princess and while she grew up in the upper crust of London, she's been to bars and dives all over. Standards, yes, of course, but fun and excitement too.

Frankly, Cade is the most interesting person she's seen since her arrival, but she's lived long enough to know how to tease and toy first.]

My, my such a daring and bold man. But the Drunk Duck Tavern? I don't know if it would be safe to go there. Aren't such places dangerous?

[...Mmhm. All things considered, it's strange they haven't had a bold adventurer type. It was the mainstay of any kind of story. The noble knight, the fair princess, the slightly insane wizard or the scholarly sage, the daring adventurer.

Ginia smiles lightly before writing up a message in her journal and holding it up in front of the orb.]

[Cade scrunches his eyes as he read through the image]

Is something wrong with your pendant, lass? Can you not send sound?

[Ah. Right. Her expression is briefly sheepish as she writes another message.]

I'm mute.

OH! Sorry!

[Cade makes some sort of gesture with his hands, first running his open right hand straight over his open left hand, then making two fists, sticking his fingers up with thumbs across and then bring them together, and then finally pointing his finger at Ginia. Perhaps it is some kind of sign language where he's from? (Cade still probably needs to learn that things work differently in this world.)]

[Ginia raises a brow slightly. Ahh, this could be promising. She sets the journal aside and raises her own hands, slowly signing back in American Sign Language. It may not be universal at all, but maybe there's some overlap.]

[Ryo just stares, looking like he really wished he had ignored the orb at this point in his life. He hadn't dealt with a blowhard quite like this in his experience, and he realized he probably would have been happier keeping things that way.]

[Even stare. An easily-confused blowhard? It must be Ryo's lucky day...if by "lucky" one meant "regretting getting out of bed that morning."]
