Orb Post: 2nd of Rebirth's Decline

[Many might notice a rumble of thunder in the cloudy sky, and then a single crack of lightning, hitting somewhere outside of Schwanheim.

The very keen-eared might hear a roar, almost animal-like, along with it.

But there is no further commotion, and some time later, the Orb comes on to show a man that many will already recognize: Thor. He is holding a sword somewhat awkwardly, like it's been a while since he held one, and he seems, while not unfriendly, a little tense.]

Greetings, Heroes of Schwanheim. My name is Thor, son of Odin, and I require your eyes and ears.

I am looking for two things that I believe are in this realm. The first is a mighty warhammer that will not be lifted; the second, a dark-haired man that goes by the name Loki L... [He cannot say it. Not that other name.] That goes by Loki.

It is urgent that I find both as soon as possible. Has anyone seen them?

((The hammer, Mjolnir, is somewhere in the Two-Faced Forest, and Loki is Big Bad Wolf-ing it up, but feel free to clue him in to either!))

Sif? [He's pleased, but confused.] What are you doing here, my friend?

Where in the thrice damned world tree have you been?

[thoreal]

[What the Hel?] I went to Midgard. To recover Loki. You know this.

Anything more specific about how he looks?

[[Someday he really needs to remember to ask people to tell him their names again....]]

Slim, tall, dark of hair, blue of eye. And he is-- noted-- for his way with words.

[shiromadoushi]

Oh! [[perks up, now having a name to go with that person]] He's here, yeah! [[nods with a smile]] Though I haven't seen him for a couple days so I'm not sure where he'd be at the moment...

Loki? The last I saw of him he had decided to return to the castle. Why would you be looking for him?

[And he smiles. Since after asking for an explanation it would only be polite to introduce himself as well. ]

Well met, Commander Vision of Autozam.

Loki is my brother. [Also kind of a psycho?] I am very concerned for his well-being. [And also the psycho thing.] We were together before I was drawn to this realm.

Your brother? [My sympathies.]

He is... a bit complex isn't he?

[This would be the polite way of saying 'strange'. ]

Your hammer I will keep an eye out for, but of the man Loki I know not.

[ Except she did, sans his name. Oops. ]

Thank you, my lady. Have you any idea where it might have fallen?

None, but if it is in Schwanheim, then there will surely be rumor of it soon enough. The townsfolk love their gossip.

[Thor needs a moment to process this new information. He blinks.]

I heard Loki was back in town, but I haven't seen him yet. Are you a friend of his? [ She doesn't look like this is a positive thing to be. ]

[It's okay, he gets it.]

I'm afraid I don't see the resemblance. I am Sir Alanna, of Tortall.

Why are you looking for Mr. Loki? Are you a friend of his?

[thoreal]

He is my brother, young one. Do you know him?

Yeah, he's sort of my teacher.

L-Loki? You mean the trickster god of-of Asgard? [ Helios sounds quite awed by this. He had no idea that the man he met who looks like his older brother is Loki, nope. ]

[thoreal]

Yes, precisely. [Huzzah! Someone who knows something.] I am Thor, his brother. [No big deal, just the god of thunder and all.]

You're Thor? [ All you Norse gods are making Helios so happy right now you have no idea. Helios smiles on his end. ] It's an honor to meet you. First Sif and now Thor amazing what sorts of people can be drawn into this place. A considerable amount of magic I'd imagine to take gods...

[ A pause. ] You say he's your...brother? [ Straying a bit from the myth in his world for sure. Loki's only brothers were Helblindi and Býleistr. ] I-I'm afraid I haven't, ah, s-seen him unfortunately.
