Orb Post: 2nd of Rebirth's Decline

[Many might notice a rumble of thunder in the cloudy sky, and then a single crack of lightning, hitting somewhere outside of Schwanheim.

The very keen-eared might hear a roar, almost animal-like, along with it.

But there is no further commotion, and some time later, the Orb comes on to show a man that many will already recognize: Thor. He is holding a sword somewhat awkwardly, like it's been a while since he held one, and he seems, while not unfriendly, a little tense.]

Greetings, Heroes of Schwanheim. My name is Thor, son of Odin, and I require your eyes and ears.

I am looking for two things that I believe are in this realm. The first is a mighty warhammer that will not be lifted; the second, a dark-haired man that goes by the name Loki L... [He cannot say it. Not that other name.] That goes by Loki.

It is urgent that I find both as soon as possible. Has anyone seen them?

((The hammer, Mjolnir, is somewhere in the Two-Faced Forest, and Loki is Big Bad Wolf-ing it up, but feel free to clue him in to either!))

Then I shall listen well. It may not have fallen here with me... but it would be much better if it did.

Why is that? If it cannot be lifted...?

[ Those were some pretty huge arms. ]

You have been informed of the thorns, yes?

I am. [Why deny it? SON OF ASGARD right here.]

And I have. They have asked for my help in dealing with them. I will do what I can, but it would help if I had Mjolnir with me.

[wanderwonder]

Very good. Mjol- [ wait, she can say this ] Mjolnir is your hammer? I will search for it. Hopefully it is not in the sea, or the mountains... They speak of dragons there. Feuding, I think.

[thoreal]

Dragons, you say? Then I hope not, as well. [Not that he has no interest in fighting dragons. Actually, that sounds like a great deal of fun. Especially if he could ride one... Maybe he does hope that Mjolnir found its way to the mountains...

He shakes himself from his reverie.]

I had it with me when I left Midgard, so I believe it should have fallen at the same time I did. [Although he also had his version of Loki and the tesseract, and who knows where they are?] Do you think it likely to be far?

If fortune exists and favors you, then hopefully not.

Likely the town and the castle can be ruled out -- they would have said something otherwise. There is vast farm land, then the thorns. Opposite that is the Two-Faced Forest...

[ Ugh, that night... But! It was day. There were no threats -- the goblin -- no! She could handle herself, flee if necessary. ]

The forest is closer. I will go there and let you know if I see Mjolnir.

Then I shall journey to this "Two-Faced Forest" as well, in the hopes that it is there.

You do me a great kindness, my lady. When I find Mjolnir, I am sure I can grant you a boon, in turn.

[ --hhfdfj no, Olinda, cool your jets. One already knows your honest form and they have yet to spread it. Besides, there is no guarantee that they would run into each other -- the forest was not so small. ]

Olinda is my name. [ Yeah it's pretty foreign to be referred to as 'my lady' -- she has no rank warranting such respect. ]

A boon is unnecessary. Simply your aid in vanquishing the thorns is more than good.
