Day Change: the 9th of Rebirth's Height

Today is the 9th day of the Height of the Season of Rebirth in the 137th Year Since the Wall Fell. Or at least it should be. The 8 is still up on the wall. Someone's been slacking in their duty!

Hey. Hey heroes. Have a date lined up for the Height Moon celebration? No? Somehow it seems like no one else does either because up until the moment the celebration starts, every hero (except JW, unless that old widow who lives up in the Two Faced forest comes out of hiding) will be pestered endlessly to escort a young lady or man to the celebration. This goes doubly so for all the heroes of a royal role. In fact, there are rumors that there'll be some sort of competition during the celebration to decide which prince and princess will be acknowledged as the rulers of the celebration and reign over the moon cycle until next celebration.

The smithy is closed for the day, no reason given. Town gossip is quick to provide one, anything ranging from that horrible no good wife of the blacksmith being up to something horrible and no good, to whispers of a curse that the full moon brings upon the blacksmith, changing him into some sort of terrible creature that stalks young women to ravish them in their bedrooms. The girls are also tittering about a pale stranger with red eyes all dressed in black who's been seen at the castle, similarly ravishing young girls. Fights have already started to break out over which is the superior ravisher, the cursed blacksmith or the lurking pale stranger, and the girls have taken to wearing small white or black bracelets to show their "Team White (stranger)" and "Team Black(smith)" alignments. It is recommended that no one ask them about their bracelets or their fight...

For those looking to get away from the asylum that the full moon seems to be turning Schwanheim into, there is an expedition into the Two Faced Forest being embarked upon. Just be careful to be out of there before nightfall if you don't want to be trapped, heroes! (Though if faced between the Forest and the Celebration...)

Faolan had woken with plans to follow the expedition into the forest [it had worked so well during the beanstalk expedition, after all]. However, he woke with the urge to scratch his skin off, which reminded him that it was a full moon [not that he'd forgotten, really, he just wanted to play with everyone]. As this was a new place, he thought it would be best if people didn't see him change. This meant being in wolf form all day. Not really a problem, then.


A half-grown puppy may be found chasing squirrels and birds, running around town, rolling in the grass, chasing his own tail, sitting and looking at the bulletin board, or watching forlornly as Sif and co. leave for the forest. It is very simple to get his attention, and he'd love to play with all of you!
