[[Bakura's looking insanely upbeat today. Almost hyper for the first time in ages.]]

Hey everyone! I talked with the King about having a place of our own that's not at the castle, where we can keep our own records and maps and things like that and he's giving us a mansion! It's that big one, not too far from the East Bridge, right on the water, the one that looks a little run down? He said it's been abandoned for a while so it needs a bit of work to fix it up, but that shouldn't be too hard to find people to help with that, right?

Who wants to come check it out with me?

Um, I wouldn't mind? I mean, it'd be nice to have someplace better to sleep, and I think I'd be able to help clean...?

Why has it been abandoned?

[The city is a busy one and abandoned buildings are few and far between. It's the logical question to ask, to her mind.]

[[a blink]] Someplace better? Where are you staying now? [[very curious]]

And any help will be a big help!

He didn't say... Sometimes families die out or they move and don't bother selling a manor or the person in inheriting it doesn't want anything to do with it so just abandons it. Especially with larger places it's a pretty common thing. Or it might have even just been people leaving because of the Thorns, back home in the City there were large areas that were abandoned after things like the Godzilla attack and then the zombies.

It sounds comfortable for meetings, and a big place is perfect to use as a reference point for newcomers...

I'm terrible for decorating, but I can help clean up if you need an additional pair of hands.

That'd be a great help since I'm sure there'll be lots of it to clean! And I wouldn't worry about decorating or anything like that, I'm sure once we get enough things mapped out we can have copies of the maps be the decorations~

People will come in and think we are a bunch of workaholics.

[With Stephane being a workaholic himself, this is said without any kind of bad meaning xD]

It will give a good impression, at least.

No kidding? I'll go.

Make it look all official. [[a grin]] Though it should be just for us and not the Natives, so we don't really need to worry about impressing others much. Not that it matters really, since they make things up anyway.

Awesome! Do you think you could find some cleaning supplies to bring along? Like a broom or a mop and bucket or something like that? I'm sure it'll be pretty dusty!

Shouldn't be too hard. They have to have a broom closet around here somewhere. I'll bring whatever I can carry, deal?

[[nods]] Deal!

I think maybe in a half hour, to give everyone time to get the news and show? If that's okay?

Fine by me. I'll grab a bite to eat first. I think I know where it is, at least. There aren't a whole lot of abandoned mansions around, are there?

[shiromadoushi]

I don't think so! A few of the smaller houses look like they might be, but none of the ones this big.

Good, then I think I know the one. If you don't see me in an hour I got lost.

We'll try and find you if you do!

But imagine being a newcomer and going inside a place filled with maps and stuff. It will sure leave an impression, though I don't know of which type.

[There is a small pause, and a chuckle.] But it's true that the natives sure have some brilliant creative minds, huh?

Hopefully it'll give the impression that here's a place where actual information can be found!

[Their own place, huh? It remains Ginia of the Welcome Center back in Luceti and she smiles a little nostalgically. It's a good idea having a central hub.]

It sounds like a great idea. I think I can put in a bit of time to help later.

Great! If you can, bring a broom or a mop and bucket or something okay? Any cleaning supplies you can get from town will be a big help!

I'll see what I can find.

I was in another world where we had a similar sort of central hub. Perhaps we can get a book and write down what we know or what we've experienced so people that come later and read it and be caught up.

Un! [[nods with a grin]] Giles and I were talking about it, any sort of records or maps or anything that we've found, we can record there where everyone of us can get to it, especially since the library here's so useless.

[Giles. Of course.]

The bookstore isn't any better, unfortunately. Lots of fiction, especially romance novels. [Maybe that's why the city is so obsessed with everyone's supposed love lives.]

[shiromadoushi]

[[Bakura's totally giving Giles the credit since it sort was his idea to start with]]

[[he shakes his head with a small laugh]] So many of them know how to read, yet all they read is that sort of thing... This place really is strange sometimes.
