[[Bakura's looking insanely upbeat today. Almost hyper for the first time in ages.]]

Hey everyone! I talked with the King about having a place of our own that's not at the castle, where we can keep our own records and maps and things like that and he's giving us a mansion! It's that big one, not too far from the East Bridge, right on the water, the one that looks a little run down? He said it's been abandoned for a while so it needs a bit of work to fix it up, but that shouldn't be too hard to find people to help with that, right?

Who wants to come check it out with me?

Why has it been abandoned?

[The city is a busy one and abandoned buildings are few and far between. It's the logical question to ask, to her mind.]

[shiromadoushi]

He didn't say... Sometimes families die out or they move and don't bother selling a manor or the person in inheriting it doesn't want anything to do with it so just abandons it. Especially with larger places it's a pretty common thing. Or it might have even just been people leaving because of the Thorns, back home in the City there were large areas that were abandoned after things like the Godzilla attack and then the zombies.

[Well, if Bakura doesn't find it odd she'll trust him. He's been here longer than she has.]

How long do you think it's been sitting empty? And how much work do you think it needs to be "fixed up"?

[Her reaction is going to be different depending on whether they're just talking about cleaning the place up or whether there are actual repairs involved. Anyone can clean. He doesn't need her for that.]

[[He got used to weirder things long before Schwanheim. His weirdness filter's been rather well smacked away]]

I'm not sure yet. I got so excited about it, I wanted to let everyone know before I went over there.

So you haven't even seen it?

[She finds that more than a little funny. And not very comforting.]

Not from the inside... [[a bit apologetic there]]

Don't you think you should go take a look before you get this excited?

[shiromadoushi]

Aaaa-- probably... but with something like this, even if it's a ruin, it'll be fun to explore!

[tenuefarfalla]

And by fun you mean dangerous?

What are you going to do if you fall through the floor?

[shiromadoushi]

I doubt it's in that bad of a condition! [[laughs]] And even if so, I've a pretty good reflex with shielding, I'll be fine!

[tenuefarfalla]

[Cho laughs a little.]

If you say so.

Let me know when you're finished. That way, if I don't hear from you tonight I can mount a rescue.

And you should stop by and see it too!

You just want someone else there so that if you fall in a hole you have company.

Aaa, you've uncovered my master plan! [[jokes with a grin]] Don't worry, if I fall through a hole, I'm sure to be sucked into yet another world full of new adventures and friends!

Or you'll dislocate your shoulder and I'll have to come and yank it back into place.

I have healing magic, it'll be fine!

You know those are famous last words, right?

[But she doesn't actually look all that worried.]

Not mine! [[a laugh. Such progress that he can joke about that now.]]

[Cho doesn't say anything else, but she does wait to hear back from Bakura after he's finished exploring. And she does fully intend to go find him if he doesn't check in before evening.]
