[[Bakura's looking insanely upbeat today. Almost hyper for the first time in ages.]]

Hey everyone! I talked with the King about having a place of our own that's not at the castle, where we can keep our own records and maps and things like that and he's giving us a mansion! It's that big one, not too far from the East Bridge, right on the water, the one that looks a little run down? He said it's been abandoned for a while so it needs a bit of work to fix it up, but that shouldn't be too hard to find people to help with that, right?

Who wants to come check it out with me?

It sounds comfortable for meetings, and a big place is perfect to use as a reference point for newcomers...

I'm terrible for decorating, but I can help clean up if you need an additional pair of hands.

That'd be a great help since I'm sure there'll be lots of it to clean! And I wouldn't worry about decorating or anything like that, I'm sure once we get enough things mapped out we can have copies of the maps be the decorations~

People will come in and think we are a bunch of workaholics.

[With Stephane being a workaholic himself, this is said without any kind of bad meaning xD]

It will give a good impression, at least.

Make it look all official. [[a grin]] Though it should be just for us and not the Natives, so we don't really need to worry about impressing others much. Not that it matters really, since they make things up anyway.

But imagine being a newcomer and going inside a place filled with maps and stuff. It will sure leave an impression, though I don't know of which type.

[There is a small pause, and a chuckle.] But it's true that the natives sure have some brilliant creative minds, huh?

Hopefully it'll give the impression that here's a place where actual information can be found!

And that is a kind way of putting it, un.

Yeah, that sounds better than "bunch of workaholics" at least...

I can't say I have anything else to say about the Natives that can be put in a nice way.

They're very persistent! Just not about the things you wish they would be....

It looks like you are a far nicer person than me. [Chuckle.] My brain only gave me "detestable".

[shiromadoushi]

[[a soft laugh]] I guess I'm just used to them. I had fanclubs back in Tokyo that were twice as bad, so really, I can manage these well enough.

A fanclub... That sounds as scary as it probably was. So did they do the whole "make up things about you" thing too?

[Stephane is blissfully unaware of the fact that he had a few of those back home xDDD]

Sort of. Mostly they liked to claim which one of them I liked... it was a real problem sometimes! The only thing worse than a hoard of fangirls following you around everywhere is a hoard of fangirls fighting over you in public when you can't get away...

[Hoards of fangirls... Just the thought... xD]

Then I guess you must be glad of still being in one piece. There are few things scarier than an obsessed fan.

[He does mean that. He really does.]

The only thing worse is when there's more than one! [[and as he's battled zombie hoards and run the heck away from Godzilla and rampaging death'bots...]] The stalker ones are the worst...

Ugh... Stalker types are simply unacceptable.

[[from the official art book. I had thought Bakura's fangirl troubles were over soon after he made friends with the dorks and nerds. Mangaka says "NOPE >D"]]

[[nods]] It's even worse when you're in another world that used to have fiction of your world... [[a slightly revulsion shudder]]

[It's his very own superpower. That and getting into trouble.]

Now that sounds complicated, it's like squared fangirlism...?

I remember reading something about that once, about how one world could be fiction in a different universe, I had never met someone who had gone trough it.

[[And making friends with people he shouldn't.]]

The last place I lived was a bit like this one in that everyone was pulled in from other worlds, only it was more modern and had a lot more things involving multiple worlds. It was sort of amazing, since I did get to meet one of my heroes from a movie... [[a warm, yet sad smile there. He wondered where Ben was now... back home, no doubt. Waiting for that future...]]

[That can be included in "getting into trouble" :P]

It sounds like quite the experience. Hopefully you didn't go too fanboy on them? [The tone is completely playful, if it helps xD]

[Hey, his friendship with Shockwave never got him into trouble... much.]


Somehow! Though the first few times we talked I felt like I would explode from holding back!

It was a good effort, at least, that's a lot of credit.

[[nods with a warm smile]] Enough so he didn't think I was too strange.

That's important. [A chuckle.] Then again, who knows to which things he was used back at his home.

Not things like that, I'm sure. Though the movies didn't really get into his early life, so who knows, maybe he was famous at some point there too?
