Orb: 2nd of Rebirth's Decline

I hope you're having a nice day in the land of Once Upon a Whatever. I'll get right to business. I'm a wizard. I make potions. That's right, eye of newt, tongue of dog... potions. They do stuff. Y'like stuff right? Yeah, y'do! Everybody likes stuff!

Day Change: the 3rd of Rebirth's Decline

Today is the 3rd day of the Decline of the Season of Rebirth in the 137th Year Since the Wall Fell.

Tacked up right in the middle of the board in big bold (capslock) letters (covering up some other announcements, hmph!) is the following announcement:

"THE GREAT PRINCE SIF FELLED A GIANT BEAST

WITH THE HELP OF THE GREAT SER ALANNA

EVERYONE COME AND MARVEL"

The bottom of the announcement is covered by another posting, an ad for the True Son Tinker's Shoe Emporium. Huh. Well, no matter, the gossip around town has the rest of the story, about the head being presented to the King and the plans for a lavish ball in celebration, since it's been almost a month since the last one. Any excuse for a ball, especially in these trying times! Of course, this means the heroes are going to be stalked repeatedly pestered asked to accompany the young women and men of the town to the ball. And dress nicely for it, really. Especially you Princes and Princesses. You'll same the kingdom if you don't arrive in some ridiculously splendid outfit to make all the ladies and men swoon over you in!

In other, more important news (that's actually news and not gossip, grumble grumble, says Ole man Signchanger to anyone he can get to listen), the Two Faced Forest seems back to normal after being struck by lightening. Or was it because of the genie that was out and about? Maybe the genie caused the lightening! Or was it that horrible wolf again, did you hear, he nearly made off with Marlene's baby! Marlene's still mad that it didn't, it's so hard to get your child taken away to be raised by wolves these days! Though how a wolf could cause lightening is any one's guess. Maybe the wolf is responsible for the strange lack of squirrels around the wood instead? Or was it the lightening? Or maybe the squirrels made a bargain with the genie to banish the thorns back to the night time, only to be tricked into becoming invisible?

Well, whatever the case, the Forest is back to normal, despite being low on squirrels, and there's going to be a party, and oh my, are you really wearing that to the ball?

Weather today is forecast to be clear blue skies, sunny and mild. And something about a bird. No, the weather predictor has no idea what the bird has to do with it, but somewhere there's something about a bird.
