[The video feed starts with a lovely view of... something. Blurs? Accompanied by an exclamation, "ah!", and a loud noise upon contact with what can only be assumed as the floor. You are picked up and rubbed and a few seconds later, have an actual view of somebody's face. It's a young girl, grimacing. She takes a few steps back, turns, and bows deeply before you.]
I'm Hanaori Kotoha. Um...
I'm not sure...
[Maybe it would've been a good idea to think about what she was going to say before she actually started this thing up. She laughs nervously.]
I asked questions, but... Sorry for not preparing!
[Probably not the right ones. She had asked the man about the Gedoushuu, about her friends, about where she was, but she hadn't asked any of the practical questions like where she was going to stay or how to get there.
She bows her head quickly in another apologetic gesture. Maybe she could still go back and find that man? Ask him where she would go now and how to get there? Perhaps she would receive replies from people via this orb contraption. She tried to think of it as a phone.]
I'm a knight, so I look forward to working with you all.
I'll try my best!
[She clasps her hands together and to her chest and nods in determination.]

[So. Confused. So very confused.
...wait a second, he's got a likely explanation, and he grins when he thinks of it.]
Are you a fan of the Go-Ongers?
[Gunpei, no, don't flatter yourself...]
no subject
[She giggles at him because he's funny. I mean he's obviously joking right? She doesn't quite understand.]
No Gunpei-san! It's me, Kotoha! Shinken Yellow!
no subject
Uh...have we met before?
no subject
[Ah. To go from so pleased to so downtrodden was harsh, and she let it show. The man she had spoken to never said anything to her about any memory loss in this place! Had she forgotten anything important?]
You came to our world once. You and the Go-Ongers. We all fought together.
[She didn't get the impression that was he was joking, and so her words were statements rather than questions. Her first day wasn't going so swimmingly. She smiled at him.]
It was fun.
no subject
I...don't remember anything like that...
[He's starting to get freaked out--this isn't making any sense!]
Sorry.
no subject
[The pause was longer than she wanted, but maybe she could try and be friends with him anyway? He was the person that would understand her world the most here, she guessed. But she hadn't made the best first impression, really. Confusing and maybe worrying him about his memory loss. She bowed her head.]
Never mind! I'm sorry for inconveniencing you!
no subject
No! No, it's not an inconvenience, really! I'm just a little confused!
[He's thinking he's a
detectivecop, and he should really be able to figure this out. Why can't he figure it out?]no subject
no subject
Yeah, that might help us get to the bottom of things here. Just like any investigation.
no subject
Well, we were fighting the Gaiark at first. We weren't sure what was going on because they weren't the Gedoushuu, they're the monsters we fight. Then Sousuke-kun appeared and fought them off, but he and Tono-sama got into an argument. Then, ah, Bachiido came and we fought him too, but the other retainers and I ended up being transported into different worlds because we were protecting Tono-sama and Sousuke-kun.
Chiaki and I were transported to the same world that you were in. You...
[Her cheeks reddened slightly as she squirmed a little in front of the orb.]
It was samurai world and we got arrested with you because you... Ah, but we managed to break out together before the Engines saved us and we defeated Buchiido and the Gedoushuu. We all did the clap of victory together!
no subject
[Great, he's freaking out over that more than anything else
for the same reasons he freaked out when he got arrested back there, give him a moment......and he's managed to compose himself kinda-sorta again. Maybe. Focus, Gunpei, focus.]
You keep saying that--Gedoushuu. What are they? Are they like the Gaiark?
no subject
Yes. The Gedoushuu are monsters from the Sanzu River. They're always causing havoc and trying to get the water in the river to rise enough to spill into the human world so they can invade properly. They can't come to the human world for long amounts of time. Their leader is Doukoku, but I've never seen him myself.
I hope they're all okay...
no subject
Sounds kind of like the Gaiark, but...wet.
What is it with these monsters and trying to invade our worlds? Why can't they just stay put?
[And he's picked up on the worry there, and he gives her a reassuring smile.]
I'm sure your friends are all right. Just like I know mine are going to be just fine.
[He hopes, anyway, because he is not there to be the SENSIBLE one...if not a little delusional for thinking he's the only sensible one there.]
no subject
[She touches the hilt of her sword by her side fondly. She knows that they'll all be fine without her, they might even be less troubled by it once they stop worrying about her. She was very clumsy after all, and had a tendency to cause trouble - even if it was with the best of intentions.]
But I'm glad I'm here instead of any of them.
no subject
[Man, he misses them...]
I know what you mean. Taking the hit for the team and all...besides, I'm clearly the best one of the Go-Ongers to take on this mission. I'm the only one who's had any training on how to deal with difficult situations!
[Okay, the Wings probably had but that is not the point.]
no subject
[Kotoha tries to think of what kind of training can be specifically in undesirable situations, as she was under the impression that all training went towards that kind of thing.]
no subject
[Yeah, he's really proud of that.]
So I can handle myself in a combat situation, and I can deal with all sorts of undesirable types that might be wanting to cause trouble!
no subject
[The locals don't seem the types to cause trouble from the very little she had seen of them. They weren't, however, very welcoming with only suspicious glances in her direction and maybe a hushed whisper every now and then. Perhaps she was being paranoid.
Now seems like as good a time as any to enquire as to the whereabouts of any training facilities. Usually it was in Tono-sama's residence, but she could make do with basically any large space that was outdoors and full of nature. Preferably a forest or a park.]
I use a sword. Do you know of anywhere I can practice?
no subject
[He's nodding enthusiastically at her asking if there's anywhere she could practice.]
There are training grounds at the castle--you're probably pretty close! I've been training with a crossbow there pretty often since guns don't seem to be a thing here. Do you want me to show you where it is?
no subject
A forest! That would be perfect! What kind of monster was it?
[Now he's offering to help her! It's the first offer of genuine, off-the-orb help (or so she presumed - it would be difficult to show somebody a place if they weren't there right?) from somebody here. She should've known it would be from Gunpei-san! She hops in excitement as the brightest smile since she's been here spreads across her face.]
Ah, yes please! That would be great. Thank you so much!
[Have a deep bow to acknowledge how super you are!]
no subject
[It was the sort of monster one might call a giant Furby, really...he's gesturing broadly as he describes the creature.
And aw, such thanks! Makes him feel all warm and fuzzy and slightly embarrassed.]
You're in the castle, right? Do you know where you are? I could come get you.
no subject
At least this one didn't have a second life!
[Ah, the second lives. The bane of her existence as a Shinkenger. She looks around again. She certainly hasn't ventured far from the castle, she can still see it. After all, it would be a silly idea to try and wander around a place that is both unknown to you and dangerous.]
Yes, I'm just outside it I think! Thank you so much! I'm sorry for troubling you!
no subject
[Ah, well. What's done is done, and dwelling on that isn't going to do him much good other than to make him mopey. He's giving her a reassuring smile.]
It's no trouble at all! Really!
[And it's the least he could do after that whole little bit of initial confusion--he doesn't want her to feel bad, even if he's got no memory of the events she's describing.]
Just wait right there and I'll be by soon, okay?
no subject
Okay! Thanks again!
[Orb] > [Action]
Just wait right there, I'll be there soon!
[And after a little while, he'll show up.]
ahhhhh my memory is truly warped
It's cool!
