How perfectly marvelous – how on earth does it truly work? Hello? Can you hear me in there?

[ She taps it and pulls back, her entire face coming into view. ]

Terribly curious indeed – how whimsically magical…

[ She straightens, and folds her arms, armor clanking. ]

For anyone that may or may not be inside of this magical device, I bid thee a fond greeting – I am Alice Kingsleigh, the White Queen’s Champion, at your service.

Now…please tell me there are no jabberwocks to be slain? The last one was quite rude.

Oh, Sugar, though I would love to tied up in a magically inclined glass ball, I must correct an assumption which you have made. These charming little things allow communicatipn between them, like a telephone. Or a computer with one of those video cameras on it, I guess.

Anyhow, Miss Kingsleigh, I haven't heard of any Jabberwock, though many of the beasts in the Two-Faced Forest ain't been properly pointed out by name to me, so there is a chance of it. I doubt it, however, since few creatures from back home seem to be around here.

Two-Faced forest, you say? Not a name that I’m familiar with, but then again, there are a lot of things in the world I’m not on a first name basis with.

Oh, it squawks often enoungh, never fear. Simply that it does not do so on it's own. This world may not even be the same as the one with which you are familiar. Indeed, chances are good that it is not.

Hm. Thorns are bad. The people are odd. There are monsters in the forest. And since there is no Queen, your title must have come from back home. Do tell.

...How incredibly odd! [ she has to try and touch it, because truly she hasn't - alright, well maybe she has seen other things as wondrous, but still, this is certainly up there in her top...twenty, at least. ]

Ah, well. Home is a rather ambiguous statement since I've come to regard Underland as a bit of a...home despite its curiosities and strange peoples, therefore that leaves the statement of 'home' a tad up in the air. The title, as it were, indeed comes from Underland, for there I slay the Jabberwock on one such Frabjous Day.

[Selene isn't quite sure what to make of this new young champion. Her wonderment was one thing, but the words she used...well, they weren't like anything she'd heard before. After a moment of consideration, she chuckled and decided not to comment.]

Does the great champion have a title she was given locally? For instance, they all insist I am a princess. And since they are so earnest, I don't try to fight it.

We're not inside it, it's more like a crystal ball that lets you talk to others. Pretty handy!

And I don't think there's any of those here, thankfully. Though there are plenty other of monsters in the forest if you really want to go looking.

I don't think anyone's really too sure.. the other White Mage was working on it, since it was his spell that brought us all here, and I think he's managed it a few times, since some people have gone back home, but he's been asleep for a few days since the White Forest burnt down...

A jabberwock is a beastly sort of creature with the foulest breath you can possibly imagine. A true plight on the citizens of Underland before the Frabjous Day.

A dragon, really - though I think he might be the slightest bit perturbed if heard me refer to him in such a way. [ not that it would matter terribly, all things considered. IT had no head anymore, after all! ]

Well, its the day the Jabberwock was killed, actually - it as foretold that I would do it, but honestly that was a lot of pressure for someone! I wasn't even Alice At Last - I was still Not Hardly Alice and to tell someone that hasn't quite found themselves again that they must slay a Jabberwock is completely ridiculous and just plain rude - don't you think?
