[ There is a bright blue eyeball peering into it from the other end, expression, what can be seen of it, delighted. ]

How perfectly marvelous – how on earth does it truly work? Hello? Can you hear me in there?

[ She taps it and pulls back, her entire face coming into view. ]

Terribly curious indeed – how whimsically magical…

[ She straightens, and folds her arms, armor clanking. ]

For anyone that may or may not be inside of this magical device, I bid thee a fond greeting – I am Alice Kingsleigh, the White Queen’s Champion, at your service.

Now…please tell me there are no jabberwocks to be slain? The last one was quite rude.

It doesn't seem to uncommon here... If you know anything about fairy tales, a lot of things that happen in those can happen here. Though I'm pretty sure this is different than that...

It doesn't seem to match up for any of the tales and no one's pushing anyone to try kissing him awake...

I don't think anyone's gotten in to see him. The monks are really over protective of him... Especially like this!

I doubt they'd think it an emergency. They're just doing what they know to protect him.

A well meaning naive spoiled brat. He's just a kid, really.

Mmm, I guess. He doesn't seem to think of it as a responsibility, though... I don't think really thinks much of it at all, come to think of it...

...How odd, not thinking of something you're supposed to be doing. Why, when I arrived in Underland and was immediately informed that I was to slay a Jabberwock, I was at least indignant!

I think it's a bit different than that here... since he's from here, I'm pretty sure... And he has his role as White Mage, but I think he has a different idea what it means than some of the people do, considering what they ask me to do all the time in his place!

What, precisely, have you been asked to do?

Mostly to be a door to door healer...! Since I don't think there are any doctors in this place... or at least none of the natives act like there are...

Oh! Well, that sounds rather useful, I must admit. Come to think of it, I'm not terribly sure I know anyone that truly qualified as such in Underland - of course, that doesn't mean they don't exist!

I think most people who have this sort of ability keep it pretty hush up. Just this place when you arrive more or less in a uniform of office... [[Not that he was the type to keep it quiet if he could help someone. Even if he had been less and less feeling the urge to volunteer to help out strangers in the years he had had his ability.... but that was neither here nor there.]]

Healing? Why would they do such a thing?

It's really easy to get burnt out with it and if everyone knows you have it, there's a lot of pressure to be everywhere and heal everyone... So it's sort of more effective to keep it quiet and just keep an eye out for a good time to use it. Otherwise you wind up like here, where every little thing is a reason for someone to call for a healer.

I suppose I could see that - if I were to slay a jabberwock every day I would become a bit tired of repetition, myself. I do try to maintain at least a semblance of oddity in my life - normalcy is terribly boring, really.

Normalcy is different for every person, I think... and relaxing to fall back on to when everything's gone crazy again.
