There were fourteen of them on our doorstep this morning.

I can't speak for the local magic, but even with the charm, having a baby requires action from both parties. If you are not... [Oh, what words to use, what words to use?] doing your duty, then there's nothing to worry about.

It's a fertility charm made from the penis bone of an animal. It's also possible it's an imitation and carved from some other sort of bone or even wood. The belief is wearing the charm or placing it under one's pillow during intercourse will increase the chance of pregnancy. It is also believed to make the man more virile.
