[emblazing]

[ at first there's nothing. there's scuttling sounds, the hissing of something like a snake and a woman's quiet murmurs before sight comes to you. you might be riveted first by the sight of a dragon the size of a small dog sitting in a young lady's lap, the color of cream. she is dressed regally. her features are uncommon, bright violet eyes and waves of silver hair falling around her shoulders; bright as stars. 

those shoulders are not bare in just clothing alone. on each shoulder is another dragon, one green, the other a bit larger, black with red streaks in it's scales. she seems calm enough, if not for the fact that her eyes are simmering with fury, her mouth in a taut, tense line. her voice is slightly raised, lined with anger.]

I know of magic. I know that is what brings me here though I know not the reason why. You will not keep me here. My city waits for me, and beyond it all that was stolen from me. I cannot reclaim what is rightfully mine in your spell, whoever has placed it upon me.

[ the black dragon hisses, flapping it's red wings. ]

If there are others trapped in this place, tell me what you know. In return I will reward you by freeing you along with me once I find answers and passage out. There must be a way out.

As for those who have placed this magic--
[ her voice hardens, sharp and raised. ]
You will recieve no such names from me--my enemies are many and I will not waste words on those who have placed me here. I do not fear you--rather, you should fear me. For once you have woken an avenging dragon it does not sleep until it has punished those who have wronged it.

Well, the townspeople won't talk about her anymore, although they were talking about her a lot before... I thought she was supposed to be coming here to help people, but there was something wrong? And something about time magic, although I've never heard of any school of magic that deals with time, so I'm not sure that's right. The people here make up stories a lot. Then again, I've only been a mage for... [pause] a few months now, um.

Wow, you're fighting a war? You must be a really good warrior, then.

This city is full of liars it seems. Not that I could expect much from those who have set to imprison us here to begin with. [ her voice is very dry. ]

No, not so much a warrior as I am a Queen.

[ she eyes her curiously ]
Does that trouble you?

What would you say if I said yes. Hypothetically.

I would ask if there have been Queens that have been cruel to you.

It's n-not r-really queens e-exactly...

Then what is it? You look set to run.

[How do you even explain "I've had nightmares of Emperor Septim turning into a giant bugmonster and murdering me since I was tiny." You don't even know why you have them! There has never been any nobility-induced trauma in your life that you didn't start aside from this. It sounds so stupid.

He can't hurt you. The Countess didn't hurt you, and you got chocolate cake out of it. You're safe when you're not asleep. (Mostly.) You shouldn't be afraid but you don't know how to stop being afraid.

...and then you realize most of that was out loud.

dany has really no idea what to say to that. she opens her mouth, closes it. the creature is terrified and a part of her wants to laugh, because it's so absurd but she hides it with a forced smile. ]

I am not this Emperor you speak of, nor am I a murderer.
[ she had blood on her hands, but that was justice. that was different. ]
