[ at first there's nothing. there's scuttling sounds, the hissing of something like a snake and a woman's quiet murmurs before sight comes to you. you might be riveted first by the sight of a dragon the size of a small dog sitting in a young lady's lap, the color of cream. she is dressed regally. her features are uncommon, bright violet eyes and waves of silver hair falling around her shoulders; bright as stars. 

those shoulders are not bare in just clothing alone. on each shoulder is another dragon, one green, the other a bit larger, black with red streaks in it's scales. she seems calm enough, if not for the fact that her eyes are simmering with fury, her mouth in a taut, tense line. her voice is slightly raised, lined with anger.]

I know of magic. I know that is what brings me here though I know not the reason why. You will not keep me here. My city waits for me, and beyond it all that was stolen from me. I cannot reclaim what is rightfully mine in your spell, whoever has placed it upon me.

[ the black dragon hisses, flapping it's red wings. ]

If there are others trapped in this place, tell me what you know. In return I will reward you by freeing you along with me once I find answers and passage out. There must be a way out.

As for those who have placed this magic--
[ her voice hardens, sharp and raised. ]
You will recieve no such names from me--my enemies are many and I will not waste words on those who have placed me here. I do not fear you--rather, you should fear me. For once you have woken an avenging dragon it does not sleep until it has punished those who have wronged it.

I am not here to speak of who is important or not. There are people who need me, and people who wait for my coming. I cannot stay in this place with such truths resting on me.

[Dragons, goodness. Ginia has only seen two in her lifetime, one a gift and the other her boyfriend when he was turned into a weredragon. She stares a bit before snapping herself out.

Instead of addressing Daenerys' words vocally, she takes a moment to write out a message, holding it up in front of the orb.]

We were brought here in order to save the kingdom from something that threatens to overtake the land. That is what we are all told, but whether it remains true is, in my opinion, unknown.

And what of my kingdom? What makes this one have greater need than my own, mine who waits for my return?

They expect us to fight a war for them. I have a war of my own waiting for me, but that doesn't seem to move those who claim the power to return us.

Expect most people to recommend you simply play along. I don't, but I'll admit I don't have much of a plan of action beyond that. I've only been here a few days.

I have many battles ahead for me as well. Do they find joy in taking us at their leisure?

I am not one for games that make sport of others, expect the same of me.
[ small, harsh laugh ]
They might have a difficult time with us, then.

I-I'm terribly sorry that you were t-taken from your home. But if-if it's any consolation I'm not sure if t-time really continues in our own worlds while we're here...

[ The baby dragons are fascinating and Helios is rather excited to see them. They remind him of Luminair, his own little dragon back in Luceti, and he can't help but give a small sad smile as he looks over at Daenerys. ] Y-You're...royalty back in your world?

I have heard this from another, and I thank you for that, ser. I would hope your words were true.

[ she does not miss his eyes on her dragons. and nor do they. nine pairs of eyes stare back at him unblinkingly, before their mother gives a nod. ]

Um, I don't think I can tell you anything people haven't already? I'm sure someone already told you about the hero thing and the thorns and stuff.

Although whatever spell they used to get us here I'm not sure they got it quite right, because I sure wouldn't have picked myself to be a hero. I mean, I'd like to be a hero, I guess, but I don't think I'm really very heroic yet. Or maybe something went wrong? I don't really know very much about magic. They said they could go back when we saved the kingdom, at least? I don't know how we're going to do that, either, though.

And I guess that there's more things than the thorns, although they never told us about that, because there was this Hero of the Mountains person except I don't think she ended up being very nice—I mean, heroes are supposed to be nice—and I've heard things about stuff like disappearing villages and there were people acting strangely this once and it's all kind of over my head.

[Deeeeeeeeeep breath.]

I don't know if I was helpful enough, but if you find a way out, um... not that I don't want to be helpful, but I have this errand I really need to finish running back home...

[ there is a talking girlcat..thing..talking to her on the screen. this is--very weird. no this is bizarre and boy does it feel like the house of the undying all over again! since dany obviously loved it there. she watches her with wary violet eyes, brows furrowing as the girlcat..thing continues to babble at quite a speed and tries only to gleam what she considers useful information. ]

They must be, or else their purpose is unknown to me. Either way, I plan to liberate all who have been held here as best I can.
[ a wry little smile. and she has dragons to grow, armies to raise and a city to settle before taking on her enemies and conquering her kingdom. ]
And I have my people to watch for, and a war to wage. I would ask what manner of creature are you that you can speak, but I have long since given up making sense of this place. Tell me more of this Hero of the Mountains, if you could.

[Sif is not one to be in awe of dragons -- she has slain them before. A child's quest, on Asgard.

She looks over the girl, gaze cursory. She can understand the desire to leave, but there is something in the speech she takes umbrage with.]

Reward? I would hardly look to another for my own freedom, Lady. Particularly one who admits so readily to knowing so little.

Would freedom not be a reward in itself? I do not know what would be a better price. This is no Slaver's City but to me it feels no different than a painted cage, made to look pretty while it's contents are foul.
