[Sif comes up, looking as composed as a person not used to making apologies can be.]

To those of you whom I may have acted towards in an ill manner: I wanted to take a moment to apologize for my actions. They did not reflect how a representative of Asgard ought to present themselves in a foreign land.

[They reflected perfectly how representatives of Asgard actually conduct themselves in foreign lands, but that is not the point :|]

In spite of the King's generous offer of amnesty, if you've want of restitution or your honor needs satisfied, I encourage you to seek me out.

If any of them would be your equal in combat, that might have counted as a noble gesture.

I have a human's strength and one less good hand. If anyone wanted to try, now would be the time.

As though your prowess depends on your arms, or the strength of your back.

[brosif]

We all have our tools.

A hammer may be wielded by a maniac or an idiot; only a master knows when and how to strike.

And are you calling me a maniac, an idiot, or a master?

At the moment?

Something of all three.

I believe my pride is the most injured part of me.

I'm glad to hear it. It's good to have you back.

[brosif]

It’s good to be of my own mind again. I’ve not experienced a curse like that in centuries.

[shorterinperson]

I've never seen anything like it before, and it will be too soon if I ever see anything like it again.

[brosif]

I’m not sure who has my greater sympathy: those under the spell, or those who had to deal with them.

Would anyone really hold the actions of a curse against you? It isn't like you were really in control of your own actions then.

[brosif]

But they were still my actions. It's appropriate to take responsibility for them.

That is a really responsible way of looking at it but I still don't believe have any reason to blame yourself. The King must have felt the same way if he pardoned everyone.

[brosif]

Given my actions, I feel it is best that I do not comment on the King's.

Oh? Why would you... [And then it dawns on him. ]

You were the one who tried to kill the King?

[brosif]

That I am.

It was all because of what happened, right? So it's nothing you should worry about.

[brosif]

All the same -- I was harsh with you.

[shiromadoushi]

It wasn't anything you could have helped.

[brosif]

You forgive easier than I am able to.

[shiromadoushi]

[[a small shrug]] It really isn't your fault. And... [[a small hesitation]] I haven't been entirely honest about things... so really... it was all right that you were upset.

[brosif]

We all have our own private matters -- but I do not understand guarding yours when there are many here who would gladly provide assistance.
