[Sif comes up, looking as composed as a person not used to making apologies can be.]

To those of you whom I may have acted towards in an ill manner: I wanted to take a moment to apologize for my actions. They did not reflect how a representative of Asgard ought to present themselves in a foreign land.

[They reflected perfectly how representatives of Asgard actually conduct themselves in foreign lands, but that is not the point :|]

In spite of the King's generous offer of amnesty, if you've want of restitution or your honor needs satisfied, I encourage you to seek me out.

As though your prowess depends on your arms, or the strength of your back.

We all have our tools.

A hammer may be wielded by a maniac or an idiot; only a master knows when and how to strike.

[brosif]

And are you calling me a maniac, an idiot, or a master?

At the moment?

Something of all three.

[Oh, look at that, she’s pissed.]

And what by your estimation makes me an idiot? As you are surely the expert in foolish actions.

[sorcerous]

You are an idiot if you can't fathom your own power. A maniac if you continue acting as though you were in Asgard. And I suppose it's faith alone that leads me to see something of the master in you.

[brosif]

And what am I to do, then? Hide in the shadows until my true strength is returned to me? I am a warrior of Asgard and I will conduct myself as such.

[sorcerous]

Please, Sif. Prove yourself cleverer than that.

[brosif]

I tire of proving myself to you, Loki.

[sorcerous]

You listen to nothing I say.

[brosif]

How can I? You are so very rarely here to say anything.

[sorcerous]

I delayed my own journey to break your curse.

[brosif]

And to make breakfast in the morning.

My quest was to help the people of this kingdom.

Should I have tarried for you?

This place has taken your strengths as well if that is all the excuse you can manage. You and I tarried for quite some time. You could have afforded the few additional moments it would have taken to say goodbye. You chose not to.

[sorcerous]

And what would you have me say? I made no promises to you.

[brosif]

Who asked you for a promise? A simple goodbye would have sufficed.

[sorcerous]

If I stayed with you, if I waited, would you have let me go?

[brosif]

Am I your warden, now?

[sorcerous]

I have a thousand wardens, a thousand chains.

[brosif]

None that you do not create.

I've no interest in being your keeper.
