Today is the 20th day of the Decline of the Season of Rebirth in the 137th Year Since the Wall Fell.

There's starting to be concern about the water level in the Big River as it continues to slowly, but noticeably fall. Some have taken to measuring it, but the results are too exaggerated and dramatized to be of any use to anyone. Whispers are running rampant that the Thorns must have reached the source of the river like one that used to run past the swampy lowlands. Or that the fight between the Dragon Sisters has spread to control of the river, or just that those darn farmers towards the mountains are just using too much water to make up for the lack of rain the past week. Either way, something should clearly be done! ... by someone else, of course.

Small riots have been breaking out all over town after the King announced who would become betrothed to the Heroes of Schwanheim. Accusations of forgery, fakery, trickery and out and out lies have been thrown around like old dish water and throngs of girls have taken to the castle in protest. As result, all announced marriages were declared null and void unless the lucky girl or guy who won a heroes hand in marriage could get said hero to come with them to the castle to declare their intent to marry.

Speaking of marriage, it would seem congratulations are in order for the lovely Baking Princess and his Knight, who are now living together over the bakery. Rumors of an elaborate secret wedding preformed deep in the forest [not the two faced one, the other, nicer one, the one that odd singing was coming from,] run in contrast to the swift, but no less romantic spontaneous arrangement in the central church of Schwanheim. Whichever it was, the ceremony must have been lovely and it was a shame that no one was there properly.

In more dramatic and tension fraught romance, after a high emotion encounter when the Sage and the Wizard both were betrothed to local girls in what would have been the great Hero Marriage, much the to anger of the Thief! What happened after is unclear, but it's said that the Thief went on a quest that afternoon and regained her voice. How this happened is under much debate, some saying that she went into the Two Faced Forest and made a deal with the Witch within, others say that her lack of voice was the Witch's curse, which the Sage and Wizard went and broke in order to prove their love to her, still others say that it was only through losing both of her beloved that her voice was returned to her, only after it was too late~ Whatever the case may be, the trio are being heavily watched for the next development in their sordid and tragic story~

And speaking of complicated loves, it would seem that after the Princess Alayne's name was called, the Prince Sif instantly made a challenge. With no sign of the Knight that had stolen her away from the Foundling Prince, were her alliances so soon swayed to the Princess's side? And what of the Foundling Prince and his lover, the Sage who was surely his sister? What was his role in his brother's disappearance? Or was it the Sage who slew him as a declaration of her love?

The weather continues to be sunny, warm and dry and the forecaster has issued a warning against forest fires. Not that the forests are dry or anything, there's just been a lot of fire in his forecasting, that's all. Might be just nothing like most of his predictions.

Cut for descriptions of Giles having a vision )

The Sage stares blankly up at the orb, wondering what he'd even been intending to say before all of that had seized him. Details of the vision are still floating hazily through his head, like a particularly persistent, yet nonscensical dream. It takes him several seconds to realize that anyone might even be looking back at him but, when it does, he visibly tries to regain his composure, struggling back to his feet and pick himself up from the street.]

Well, then. That was, um...a bit alarming.

[Still obviously a bit dizzied, Giles realizes that his glasses are askew, and takes a few seconds to fuss with them and gather his thoughts about him.

What had he even been planning to say, before that happened?

Oh. Yes.]

About the, um...the recent rash of thefts...I, I just wanted to say that, um, that that should be over with. If you've lost anything of particular value, um, it should be returned to you in a day or so. But if you'd like to tell us, what you lost, we'll...well, um, we'll get it back to you, as soon as w can.

Th-Thank you.

And, um, on that note...I, I'm going to be at the library, today. [Anxiously, Giles glances up towards the castle.] Most of today. It seems I suddenly find myself in need of a map...
