Day Change: the 2nd of Rebirth's Decline

Today is the 2nd day of the Decline of the Season of Rebirth in the 137th Year Since the Wall Fell.

The rumor mill is out in full force today. It seems off towards the mountains a rogue hero has been making quite a name for herself. Some rumors say she saved a child from death, some say she brought a child back from the dead, others say she is the child brought back from the dead by a horrible monster who's now just using her body as a conduit to bring death and destruction to the world. ... well, no, that's just Harold again. Really, where does he get these ideas? Whomever this hero is, she seems to be doing far better then the good for nothing layabouts they have in the capital! They haven't even done anything about that crazed wolf that's skulking about town, killing livestock and peering up young girl's skirts. No, really, that totally happened!

There's plenty being said about that wolf too, some people saying that it has the eyes of a man and the size of a monster, others saying that it's just a regular grey wolf, that one who's been out and about and is probably someone's familiar or something like that, and yet others claiming that it's an undead creature of the night, wearing the wounds that killed it as it seeks to drag others into it's quest to bring death to all the world. (Harold, again.)

In other news rumors, there's been talk of an enchanted bottle appearing on the edge of the Forest. What sort of bottle and how you can tell it's enchanted varies from person, of course, but that makes it stand out the most is that the wall of thorns that encases the Forest at night was still there in the morning. A most peculiar thing that most people can't recall ever hearing of before. Some of the old timers in the bar will (if given fresh ale to wet their tongues) go on about the days when those thorns first went up, after the night that there was that horrible brawl that no one can quite remember too clearly, and how they were all up day and all night then, and it wasn't until the brave hero whats his face-- you know the one with the beard? Anyway, ole whats his face went down to hell and found the witch responsible for that whole thing and made a deal with her that he could have sex with her daughter any damned time he pleased and she had no right to hide the forest from the world just because her daughter was a whore. The story varies from there, but it's not something safe for children to hear (and will cost you another pint of ale to hear the sordid details) and is mostly regarded as as scam to get teenagers to pay the bar tabs for the old fogies.


Weather today is forecast to be dark and cloudy with a 20% chance of death raining from the sky. (Get out, Harold.)

What: Giles is stuck in a bottle. Giles would very much like to let out of the bottle. Giles will grant you a wish should you let him out of the bottle. And if you don't want a messed up poltergeist throwing furniture around, you should probably take him up on that.
