What: As it's a full moon, it's puppy time!

Faolan had woken with plans to follow the expedition into the forest [it had worked so well during the beanstalk expedition, after all]. However, he woke with the urge to scratch his skin off, which reminded him that it was a full moon [not that he'd forgotten, really, he just wanted to play with everyone]. As this was a new place, he thought it would be best if people didn't see him change. This meant being in wolf form all day. Not really a problem, then.


A half-grown puppy may be found chasing squirrels and birds, running around town, rolling in the grass, chasing his own tail, sitting and looking at the bulletin board, or watching forlornly as Sif and co. leave for the forest. It is very simple to get his attention, and he'd love to play with all of you!

Faolan barked at her and continued running until he reached the smithy. He found Hawk and barked, leaping around him.

The man gave a slight grin, setting down his mug of coffee before reaching down to rub behind the puppy's ears. "There you are. Been having fun?"

Gretel slowed when the man came into view, hanging back to watch the two. "He's your's?"

Yes, Daddy! Yes! Faolan's tail wags at the ear petting.

Remembering Gretel, he hops up to cavort around her, barking an introduction.

"Yep," Hawk nodded looking over at the girl. "You one of his friends?"

[halfwitch]

"I only met him a little while ago." She kneels down to be on level with Faolon, smiling. "But I guess so."

[greatsquirrelhunter]

Faolan leaned on her, glancing back at Hawk.

See, Daddy? I have a sister now?

He turned back to Gretel to give her kisses.

[wheresmycoffee]

"He makes friends pretty fast," Hawk nodded, watching the display with a small smile. "He used to have a pretty big pack, so he's not used to being just with us here yet. "

[halfwitch]

Gretel tried very hard not to giggle when the licking started, reaching out to pet Faolon. "Oh, you had a lot of puppies?"

Faolan reared back onto his hind paws to give Gretel a hug, tail wagging at the attention.

And then he leaned back to look at Hawk, so far that he did a somersault, yapping Daddy! Daddy! Daddy!

"For a little while. Had a whole mess of them camped out in my barn, but they got to go back to their own families. Faolan stayed with me."

[halfwitch]

Gretel wasn't able to stifle the little laugh of amusement at the wolf's antics. "I think I see why he was the one you'd keep out of them."

[greatsquirrelhunter]

Kept? Hawk kept Faolan? But Faolan kept Hawk!

Faolan barked once, circling around Hawk and then around Gretel.

Hawk chuckled slightly. "It's a bit different than that."

His lip quirked into a smile at Faolan's antics. "You know it's not night time yet. You don't need to be like that."

[halfwitch]

Gretel frowned, confused. "I don't get it."

[greatsquirrelhunter]

Gretel didn't get it? What didn't Gretel get? Faolan would help!

He bounced around her, barking helpfully.

[wheresmycoffee]

"You know she can't understand that, right?" Hawk chuckled, reaching out to rub behind the werewolf's ears. "He was lost in the woods and I took him in. The rest of the pack didn't show up until later. It wasn't so much choosing as just sort of something that happened," he explained as he continued to rub Faolan's fur.

[halfwitch]

Gretel reached out for the pup too. "Oh. Kind of sounds more like he picked you."

[greatsquirrelhunter]

Faolan leaned back and forth into the petting, swaying back and forth between them happily. Then he climbed up Hawk and peered out the window.

"Could say that," Hawk nodded, putting a hand on Faolan's back to support his balance.
