Puppy log!
Characters: Faolan and anyone else who wants to play
Open? Completely!
Where: All over Schwanheim and environs
When: The day and night of the 9th
What: As it's a full moon, it's puppy time!
Warnings:Puppy kisses for everyone!
Faolan had woken with plans to follow the expedition into the forest [it had worked so well during the beanstalk expedition, after all]. However, he woke with the urge to scratch his skin off, which reminded him that it was a full moon [not that he'd forgotten, really, he just wanted to play with everyone]. As this was a new place, he thought it would be best if people didn't see him change. This meant being in wolf form all day. Not really a problem, then.
A half-grown puppy may be found chasing squirrels and birds, running around town, rolling in the grass, chasing his own tail, sitting and looking at the bulletin board, or watching forlornly as Sif and co. leave for the forest. It is very simple to get his attention, and he'd love to play with all of you!

"Ah," he says. "Hello, then."

Faolan squirms and turns, his tail frantically swishing to see a favored person.
Hi Loki! Hi Loki!
Loki is treated to puppy kisses.

"So, little one," he murmurs, "would you like to run with me? I think I can manage a wolf's form, now, if it isn't for too long."
no subject
He perks up. Run with Loki? Loki can be a wolf? Hooray! Hooray!

He sets Faolan down, and he takes a breath. A smooth exhale, and when it is done, there is a dark-colored wolf by Faolan.

All these scents -- human, animal, fire and food and waste -- do poorly on his wolf's nose. He would rather be out in the harmony of wood, earth, blood.
He is ungainly, as of yet, not quite used to a wolf's form and a wolf's gait. It has been a long time.

He wanted to hunt.

He bounced a few times, quivering with eagerness and the unvoiced request to come along too.

He gave a little follow-me kind of whuff and started to move close to the ground, quick and silent, with frequent pauses to see if Faolan was imitating him in style as well as speed.

Faolan paused while he tried to come up with a new plan.

-- A few more minutes of this, and Loki will be satisfied.

Loki breaks into a loping run again, his head low, sniffing for any particularly enticing possibilities.
-- there! He catches the scent of a burrow of rabbits. Several of them. He nudges Faolan, with a little whuff of breath. Did he smell it?

And then he started moving silently again. Downwind of the rabbits, where they wouldn't smell either of the wolves.

Loki kept his eyes carefully on the rabbit's burrow. Patient, and still.

This could not last long.
Thankfully, just as he'd started fidgeting, a rabbit popped its nose out of the burrow. His stillness was back full force as he watched eagerly for when the rabbit would be far enough that they could go after it.

Slowly, slowly, the rabbit emerged. She began to wander away, towards a patch of thick grass, flowers, weeds.
Once she was far enough away for Loki, he gave Faolan a nudge. Go on; give it a try.
