[The video feed starts with a lovely view of... something. Blurs? Accompanied by an exclamation, "ah!", and a loud noise upon contact with what can only be assumed as the floor. You are picked up and rubbed and a few seconds later, have an actual view of somebody's face. It's a young girl, grimacing. She takes a few steps back, turns, and bows deeply before you.]

I'm Hanaori Kotoha. Um...

I'm not sure...

[Maybe it would've been a good idea to think about what she was going to say before she actually started this thing up. She laughs nervously.]

I asked questions, but... Sorry for not preparing!

[Probably not the right ones. She had asked the man about the Gedoushuu, about her friends, about where she was, but she hadn't asked any of the practical questions like where she was going to stay or how to get there.

She bows her head quickly in another apologetic gesture. Maybe she could still go back and find that man? Ask him where she would go now and how to get there? Perhaps she would receive replies from people via this orb contraption. She tried to think of it as a phone.]

I'm a knight, so I look forward to working with you all.

[She clasps her hands together and to her chest and nods in determination.]

But teachers do always know best don't they? That's why they're teachers!

[[A small pause. Either this person was very lucky to have never had a bad teacher, or...]]

Not every teacher knows everything...

[[And some of them can be horrible bullies. Especially gym teachers...]]

[She supposes so. When she thinks about it, Takeru certainly doesn't know everything. He knows what matters though. She just assumed that teachers were supposed to know everything, if not most, about their specialist fields. Why else would they be trusted to teach?]

Were you at school? Before?

Not before here, but before I was at the place I was before here.

[[a pause]] Aaa-- that's confusing, sorry! I was at another place before I came here, where there were a lot of people pulled from different worlds.

So... The same as this... But not? You've not been home in a while?

[shiromadoushi]

Not back to where I was born, no. I was in the City for almost three years. [[There's a wistful note in his voice. Man, he misses that place.]]

Three years? That's such a long time!

[She falls silent to ponder whether or not she'll be able to go back home at all. She had never really considered that she might not return in some weeks, or months, or years.]

[shiromadoushi]

Aaa- it is, isn't it? It felt like it went by so fast, though... [[yet at the same time, it was forever. Longest he'd ever lived in one place... hopefully he'd get to go back... and everyone would still be there....]]

[shinkenyellow]

[Her voice is quiet.]

Do you stop missing people after such a long time?

[shiromadoushi]

[[he's quiet a moment]] I still miss everyone back there. Really didn't have many people to miss back in Domino, so I don't really think it's fair to compare, [[admits sheepishly]] Those three years... were the first time I felt I actually had a home in a long time.

[She nods wordlessly and thinks of her friends back home.]

Aaa-- sorry! Didn't mean to be so depressing when you've just arrived, sorry! [[rubs the back of his neck in utter embarrassment]]

[She shakes her head, offering a small smile.]

No, it's okay. I've just never really missed anybody before. Even when I was separated from my sister, we wrote letters.

[[Says the guy who has been writing his dead sister letters for over 10 years]]

I can?! How do the letters get to her though?

[Kotoha is super excited. Look what you've done!]

Aaa-- I don't think they can... since I think this place is like where I was before, where time doesn't move back home while we're here. So even if they could get there, you'd be back before they would and she'd just get confused. But sometimes it just helps to write...

A-ah... Of course.

[Her hopes are well and truly crushed. She kicked herself inwardly - of course you couldn't send letters here, stupid Kotoha!]

I really am stupid.

[She offers a sad smile.]

I suppose it might help though. Like a diary.

You're not stupid, how would you know how things here work if you've just arrived? [[smiles kindly.]] Especially with this place being how it is.

I should've asked the man really.

[She sighs lightly before shaking herself out of her groove.]

Never mind! I'll try my best here so that I might go back one day!

Somehow I don't think he'd be helpful enough to know that sort of thing. Better off to ask other people over this than the locals.
