Afternoon Explorations

Where: Outside the White Forest, possibly going a bit deeper inside.
When: The afternoon of the 4th of Great Heat's Beginning.
What: Ryo gets bored and goes exploring in the hopes of finding something interesting.
Warnings: Crazy bug-man stabbytimes if something sets him off into transforming into Gills? Otherwise, I can't think of much.


Ryo was bored. And when he got bored, he tended to get a bit restless. He hadn't been spending much time in town at all as of late, instead choosing to explore as much as he could. He'd started to get the hang of riding his weirdly-armored horse, and it wasn't at all unusual for him to go out riding, searching for something of any interest.

Most of the time, he went looking for monsters. They were out there, he knew it, and if there was one thing he knew how to do, it was fight a monster. That wasn't exactly rocket science for a Kamen Rider, after all...

Today, he'd found himself at the edge of the White Forest. It was different from some of the other areas he'd been exploring, and, for whatever reason, his horse had decided it didn't really have any interest in going in very deep. It would walk a few steps, and then it would just balk at going in any further.

"Tch. Getting lazy, are you?" Ryo dismounted from the horse and walked it over to a nearby tree, tying the reins to said tree. It looked like from there, he'd be exploring the forest a bit deeper on foot.

"If that's what you want to call it when things go very wrong on the evolutionary ladder, sure."

With that, Gills tossed out that tentacle in an attempt to snare Kay.

[warewolf]

The tentacle did ensnare him, wrapping around his chest and pinning one of his arms to his body.

With his free arm, Kay grabbed the tentacle and yanked, intending to draw Gills closer, into clawing range. "Do I look like I give a fuck about evolution?" he growled. "Save the science for someone who cares."

[somewhatpointy]

"Hey, you asked." Gills gave a little growl of his own and allowed Kay to reel him in, though he tightened his grip on the other. Kay wasn't the only one interested in getting the other within clawing range. Gills took a swipe at the other once he was close enough.

[warewolf]

"I didn't ask--"

Rather than dodging, Kay took a firmer hold of the tentacle as close to Gills' body as he could manage and tried to use it to -- well -- to pull Gills off his feet and fling him around so that his body would hit a nearby tree. He didn't manage to avoid Gills' blow completely; the claws did graze him.

"--for a biology lesson," he grunted.

Gills hit that tree, and he snarled viciously. Ryo had a hard enough time holding onto himself when he was in this form, and now he was getting just a bit more ticked off. Abruptly, the tentacle unwound itself from around Kay. Gills growled as he tried to withdraw the appendage.

[warewolf]

Kay let go of the tentacle, but bounded up to Ryo and tried to pin him down with a great big clawed hand-paw to the chest. He bared his teeth and growled.

The pinning attempt was successful, and Gills wasn't happy at all. In response to the growl, he offered an incoherent war-bellow of rage. Conversing with him would be rather difficult at this point, and he tried taking a swipe at Kay's midsection with one of his wrist claws.

The attack connected, and blood began to drip down Kay's stomach. Kay snarled, and in the snarl were the words, "Give up!"

Once upon a time, Ryo had attempted to axe kick a god. He'd been knocked flat. Yet he'd gotten up to try again. And again. Give up?

"No." Snarling, he took another swing at Kay.
