3rd Orb - 19th of Rebirth's Decline; Evening

[It's been a long day. Too many long days, but today was particularly taxing between being set free from a curse and injuring the two people she loves most in the process, briefly attending a farce posing as a wedding, and returning as many of her ill-gained goods as possible.

That Ginia happened to find a piano in one of the rooms of the castle was perhaps one of the best things to happen all day. So seated at the piano, having traded her armor and dark clothes for a dress and the only jewelry a beautiful emerald and silver necklace, Ginia sets the orb on the piano, offering the briefest of smiles, being she begins to play.

After she finishes the first song, she pauses before she begins playing her next song.

There's another pause before her third song. It's one that takes a bit of thought and she's not even sure if the person who she wants to hear it is listening, but even if he isn't, maybe someone else will get the message for themselves. So taking a deep breath, Ginia begins to sing and play.

Her fourth, and final song, may be a little strange to anyone familiar with it. However, as Ginia sings and plays Silver Bells, it's intended for one recipient only. Everyone else can simply enjoy it.

Once she's finished, she bows her head modestly and smile as the orb.]

I hope you all enjoyed that. If... you'd like to hear more, I'd be happy to oblige.

((ooc; Yes, that's right, Ginia is talking. As per this log, Helios enchanted a necklace (picked out by Giles) that allows her to talk. The necklace only works if she's wearing it, magic-canceling abilities will prevent the necklace from working.))

I suppose the dinner last night just go to me. [ He laughs sheepishly as he rubs the back of his head. ] Ah! That's a wonderful idea, actually. I-I made enough at least to share with probably both neighbors.

[ Helios looks at the food cooking and then the table and then Ginia. He is totally ignoring the shirt, okay. ] Help me set the table, if you don't mind?
folklorist: (I'm just your average headmaster yep)

[personal profile] folklorist 2012-09-25 05:00 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, we do. [ And there's a silent question of whether or not Ginia was staying, but he knew from her answer that she was, and he's secretly relieved to here her speak those words. He'll set down three cups on the table, along with napkins and forks and knives too. ]

Oh. Um. N-Not particularly, no. Just some, ah, r-reading. [ He miiight be going to collect some things from the Two-Faced forest too. But he is not mentioning that. ]

Do you and Giles have any plans?
folklorist: (Curiousity killed the cat you know?)

[personal profile] folklorist 2012-09-25 05:27 am (UTC)(link)
O-Oh yes! I almost forgot about those... [ he's mildly guilty in looking through them though. But, well, it might be beneficial to do so in the long run. Maybe once he and Giles looked through them they could return them. ]

Business? It's a lovely day out, too. Perfect day for a walk.
folklorist: (Pacing)

[personal profile] folklorist 2012-09-25 06:16 am (UTC)(link)
Oh? It's...possible, yes. I might need sometime to figure out how to do it. But...there's no spell I know of, off the top of my head that, ah, can readily do that. [ It might also be very taxing on his body. But he isn't sure yet. ]

There is a way to etch a teleportation sigil into a specific amulet or-or piece of jewelry to be used over and over again. You would have to replace it once in awhile, since the spell would wear it out but...it could be a substitute solution while I try to puzzle out how to, um, do this. You'd have to use your own blood as well. I assume she would want it to be constantly open as well, correct? Like an instant access to the destination point?
folklorist: (I came across a strange thing)

[personal profile] folklorist 2012-09-25 06:37 am (UTC)(link)
[ Helios blinks as he watches Ginia take food and set it on the table. ] It's really no trouble, a-and it's not rude. I do like talking about such things, you know. But I'll keep it in mind and I'll keep you informed when I-I've managed to make a good lead in it. [ He smiles and shrugs looking back at the stairway leading up to the second floor. ]

Sh-should we, um, wait for Giles to come down?
folklorist: (I suppose that works)

[personal profile] folklorist 2012-09-26 02:20 am (UTC)(link)
[ Helios lets out a light, relieved, sigh and nods as he leans back against the counter. He winces a little as he uses his injured arm to pick up the heavy tea kettle to pour out two cups of tea. ] Good, good, that's wonderful news! I-I'm glad everything is...is better.

[ He smiles as he takes the cups and puts them down on the table. He stops and looks a bit worn in that brief second, very tired, almost like nightmares had kept him awake most of the night. But it's merely a shadow as he shakes his head and smiles. ] I'm perfectly fine. Doing very well, actually.

[ He doesn't blame her, could never really blame her. He couldn't even blame his own brother for doing the things he did. Ginia wasn't in the wrong that early morning. As far as Helios was concerned it wasn't her at all, but a byproduct of the necklace's powers. ]

We should probably start eating b-before everything gets cold.
folklorist: (Oh is that right)

[personal profile] folklorist 2012-09-26 04:12 am (UTC)(link)
Ah that's good. Sometimes it just...takes a little while to, um, talk about things. [ He sounds incredibly guilty when he says those words. Having some secrets of his own still, he has yet to tell Ginia. ]

Oh, no, you don't have to worry about thing. I'll, um, be perfectly alright. [ He gives another smile as he sits down at the table. ]

It would be nice to have a refrigerator. I wouldn't have to use ice magic all the time to keep things cool. But it's still amazing living in these times...very interesting to see how everything was done. [ And sometimes a bit inconvenient. ]
folklorist: (I suppose that works)

[personal profile] folklorist 2012-09-26 04:48 am (UTC)(link)
[ He laughs at that and takes a few pieces of bacon himself, and some eggs. It's been a challenge getting acclimated to using such little technology. He might not use fancy computers or ipod things, but he did love having a working, renovated, kitchen. ]

That would certainly change quite a few things around here. I-I think it'd be wonderful...but it might take away a certain charm to the rustic nature of the place. [ But Helios did love his new age appliances. ]
folklorist: (Never seen anything like it)

[personal profile] folklorist 2012-09-27 03:03 am (UTC)(link)
Sometimes. [ He does miss home, a lot. He misses his students, his castle, even Ra and his boisterous attitude. There were things that he could do without, and things that he wouldn't want to go back to without Ginia and Giles with him. He has a small sad look on his face. ]

I don't know if it would be the same without you and Giles there with me now, though.
folklorist: (Downcast)

[personal profile] folklorist 2012-09-27 03:28 am (UTC)(link)
It is hard to imagine, now. [ He pauses and looks down at the table and his hands. ] Everything we've been through...I-I don't know if I would want to leave you two behind.

[ He rather not go back at all if they didn't come with him. ] I'll f-find a way. There has to be a way just like...like the world of Luceti used. [ But maybe it was a power far out of his reach and control. ]
folklorist: (I don't honestly know)

[personal profile] folklorist 2012-09-27 04:06 am (UTC)(link)
It's a possibility. A-And magic might have brought us here.

[ Helios looks up at Ginia, confused, a slightly wary. ] What?
folklorist: (I'm terribly sorry)

[personal profile] folklorist 2012-09-27 05:16 am (UTC)(link)
[ It's with a very great effort that Helios doesn't drop his fork into his plate. But the force and sheer amount of pain of her words is almost unbearable. It was just like when Giles told him much the same thing, when he came back to Luceti all those months ago. His green eyes widen as he looks back at Ginia his hands slightly shaking from trying to keep his composure. ] Oh gods. Ginia. I-I'm so sorry.

[ He doesn't know what else to say, what else to do. He manages to get up out of his seat and walk over to her to give her a hug. It's awkward and slightly tentative but it's there nonetheless. ] I-I'll find away. I'll find away to bring you both back with me.

[ It wasn't fair that they were gone. It wasn't fair that such good people like them were gone. ]
folklorist: (Dour. Something is coming)

[personal profile] folklorist 2012-09-27 06:58 am (UTC)(link)
[ His hug only gets tighter as she continues. Gods he can't even think of what to say. Both of them, his two best friends, his family, they were both gone in their own worlds. It breaks his heart not being able to do anything for her. So when he pulls away he manages the most optimistic look he can manage. ]

I'm...sorry. [ He wishes he could say that things would be alright, but he knew her world. He'd been there before. It was a cold, hard, place to live. And it had taken her away just as it had taken so many others. ]
