3rd Orb - 19th of Rebirth's Decline; Evening
[It's been a long day. Too many long days, but today was particularly taxing between being set free from a curse and injuring the two people she loves most in the process, briefly attending a farce posing as a wedding, and returning as many of her ill-gained goods as possible.
That Ginia happened to find a piano in one of the rooms of the castle was perhaps one of the best things to happen all day. So seated at the piano, having traded her armor and dark clothes for a dress and the only jewelry a beautiful emerald and silver necklace, Ginia sets the orb on the piano, offering the briefest of smiles, being she begins to play.
After she finishes the first song, she pauses before she begins playing her next song.
There's another pause before her third song. It's one that takes a bit of thought and she's not even sure if the person who she wants to hear it is listening, but even if he isn't, maybe someone else will get the message for themselves. So taking a deep breath, Ginia begins to sing and play.
Her fourth, and final song, may be a little strange to anyone familiar with it. However, as Ginia sings and plays Silver Bells, it's intended for one recipient only. Everyone else can simply enjoy it.
Once she's finished, she bows her head modestly and smile as the orb.]
I hope you all enjoyed that. If... you'd like to hear more, I'd be happy to oblige.
((ooc; Yes, that's right, Ginia is talking. As per this log, Helios enchanted a necklace (picked out by Giles) that allows her to talk. The necklace only works if she's wearing it, magic-canceling abilities will prevent the necklace from working.))

[ He smiles as he takes the cups and puts them down on the table. He stops and looks a bit worn in that brief second, very tired, almost like nightmares had kept him awake most of the night. But it's merely a shadow as he shakes his head and smiles. ] I'm perfectly fine. Doing very well, actually.
[ He doesn't blame her, could never really blame her. He couldn't even blame his own brother for doing the things he did. Ginia wasn't in the wrong that early morning. As far as Helios was concerned it wasn't her at all, but a byproduct of the necklace's powers. ]
We should probably start eating b-before everything gets cold.

Though even as she says that, she knows there are things she needs to tell Helios. It seems almost a pity to ruin such a peaceful moment, and Helios himself looks a little unwell, but if not soon, then perhaps never.]
I'm glad. If there's anything you need, or anything I can do, please don't hesitate to ask. [Otherwise she'll be a hovering, worried thing.]
Yes, we probably should. Sometimes I miss the modern conveniences of microwaves and fridges and all.
no subject
Oh, no, you don't have to worry about thing. I'll, um, be perfectly alright. [ He gives another smile as he sits down at the table. ]
It would be nice to have a refrigerator. I wouldn't have to use ice magic all the time to keep things cool. But it's still amazing living in these times...very interesting to see how everything was done. [ And sometimes a bit inconvenient. ]

She reaches for some eggs and bacon, scooping some onto her plate.] We are such spoiled people, coming from the future and with all the technology it holds. What do you think, find a way to create a fridge with what we have here, strike it rich?
no subject
That would certainly change quite a few things around here. I-I think it'd be wonderful...but it might take away a certain charm to the rustic nature of the place. [ But Helios did love his new age appliances. ]

...Do you miss your home? First Luceti, now here, it's been awhile since you've seen your world, hasn't it.
no subject
I don't know if it would be the same without you and Giles there with me now, though.
no subject
...I really hope we can go to your world.
no subject
[ He rather not go back at all if they didn't come with him. ] I'll f-find a way. There has to be a way just like...like the world of Luceti used. [ But maybe it was a power far out of his reach and control. ]

[Or if not Helios' world, at least another world where they can stay together. It's almost unfair, living on in other worlds, stealing a few more precious minutes of life because in her world, the timer is at zero. But she wants to live. She wants to live with them.]
...I need to tell you something. ...You won't like it.
no subject
[ Helios looks up at Ginia, confused, a slightly wary. ] What?
no subject
...I told you I went back home. ...I didn't tell you I died there.
no subject
[ He doesn't know what else to say, what else to do. He manages to get up out of his seat and walk over to her to give her a hug. It's awkward and slightly tentative but it's there nonetheless. ] I-I'll find away. I'll find away to bring you both back with me.
[ It wasn't fair that they were gone. It wasn't fair that such good people like them were gone. ]
no subject
Helios' hug surprises her since she's looking down, but her hands come up and rest lightly on his back.]
...I made my choice. I just... I just wish I knew if things were successful in the end. That's my only regret.
no subject
I'm...sorry. [ He wishes he could say that things would be alright, but he knew her world. He'd been there before. It was a cold, hard, place to live. And it had taken her away just as it had taken so many others. ]
no subject
I'm sorry for ruining such a nice day. After all you've done... [Tried to stop her when she was under the necklace's curse, made her a new necklace, forgave her for stabbing him...] ...but I knew if I didn't tell you, I never would and it'd probably come back and bite me in the end. I guess it explains a lot too. Going out at night, being reckless...
[Her smile comes a little easier as she thinks of something.] ...But I have you and Giles. My family. The ones I love.
no subject
You didn't. You didn't r-ruin my day Ginia. I-I'm glad you told me. [ Even if all he can do now is live up to the same promise he gave Giles, when Giles told him the same thing. Make her and Giles' life as happy and fulfilling as possible. ]
I. I have...somethings I should tell you as well. [ A tired sigh as he finds his seat again and sits back in it. He doesn't look at Ginia directly, but more at the floor instead. ]
no subject
She nods at him, allowing him to take all the time he needs to find his words.]
no subject
[ He glances at her briefly before looking away again. ] You didn't...s-see anything, did you?
no subject
no subject
[ And his issues and utter inabilities to get over them, especially in situations like that. His voice is dour and slightly monotonous when he speaks again. ] I n-never told you I had a brother, did I?
no subject
no subject
[ An understatement that is fit for several centuries. He absently rubs his good arm with his bad hand, wincing all the while. ] And he used to... [ do horrible things to him, but Helios really can't outright say it. His throat feels far too tight to even open, let alone allow him to speak. It'd be easier to just show her but even that seems impossible. ]
no subject
...Just because you two are related, just because he's your brother by blood, doesn't mean you have to like him.
