[Log] A sort of magic... do you want it?

Characters: The Magic Peddler

When: All day the 15th of Rebirth's Decline.
What: The Magic Peddler is out selling his wares. What plot significant magical and cursed little doodad will your character acquire?

He's a slightly wizened old man; the large pack on his back has bent him over the years and his long grey beard looks to have not seen much of a comb in years. Yet he is clean, his brown tunic studded with light green tile that look like faded lily pads drifting in a muddied swamp, washed out from sun and wash. The charms hanging from the gold bands adorning his arms glitter, polished white and smooth as they clink together with every step.

There's something about him that draws the curiosity. The hopeful, the unguarded, the ambitious, those who have much to gain, those who have little to lose. He has something for them all, hidden treasures none have ever unearthed before. What is waiting for you, inside his pack?

The man watched her, expression pleasant and almost amused. "For yourself, or another?"

There's a pause before she adds on with a sheepish smile.

My boyfriend. I want to get him something nice.

"If green is his colour, by all means," the man nodded with small gesture.

Ginia looks at the cloak clasp. It matches his eyes nicely and it's a functional, but decorative piece. Stylish without being gaudy.

Does it do anything or is it just pretty?

"I have been assured by wizards and scholars that all these trinkets contain magic within them, but I myself am blind to such wonders and most only take their word."

Is there a chance this item is harmful? Because while she could welcome a positive effect, she would rather not curse or harm him in any way.

"Sadly, I cannot tell you that. Magic is a curious thing that can heal or harm depending on the hand that wields it."

Ginia looks a little longer at the cloak clasp, then over her shoulder at the small cloak she's wearing. Gesturing to the fabric, she holds up the clasp. If she's going to give something to him, best test it out herself first.

He nods. "Go right ahead. I never am able to tell what any of these treasures do for their magic..."

Permission granted, Ginia removes her current cloak clasp and slips it into her pocket before attaching the supposedly magical cloak clasp. The effect is instanteous; her cloak ripples as it turns invisible, hiding everything underneath it. Ginia looks down and turns her cloak this way and that, testing the coverage of the cloak and wishing she had a longer one to work with or even her hooded cloak.

Either way, it's something that could be quite useful and she's pleased.
