2nd Orb - 15th of Rebirth's Decline

[Ginia can be seen in the orb, sitting up in bed with several pillows propped behind her. She's still dressed in modest sleeping clothes and there's some sort of wine skin propped up against her chest. She smiles and gives a small wave before holding up a pre-written message in front of the orb. The message is held up for awhile, giving someone enough time to read it.]

A friend and I have come under some unfortunate injuries. Is there a healer or some kind of doctor around, preferably someone who can mend broken bones? I can pay for your time and service or some other arrangement can be made. I heard there was a White Mage around, but it doesn't seem like he's here anymore.

Also is there someone that can repair leather armor? I also need some knives made.

[The message is moved away. Ginia flips to the next page in her journal and holds up another written message. This one being far longer, spans over several pages.]

After talking to some of the locals, I've found some interesting rumors, far better than the usual noisy gossip. I think these are things worth looking into.

1) There's an old temple in the Mountains from before the Wall Fell that someone raided last year. The item is unknown but speculated to be some kind of old artifact. No one's heard anything since, so it might have just been melted down for the gold. Rumor has that the Dragon Sisters started fighting around the time it was stolen as well.

2) Trade with the Unknown Lands had already dried up long before the Thorns were discovered. No one's quite sure why.

3) The princess from across the sea, rumored to be the most beautiful and fair in the world, had some sort of accident with a sea serpent, and was turned into a mermaid in order to get her beauty back.

4) Prince Charming spent a long amount of time at the old capital last year. Everyone was sure he'd found The One, but then near the end of the Decline of the Great Cold, he headed for the shore line and hasn't spent more than a month per town since.

Perhaps these are things we could look into. I'm interested in the old temple and the princess myself. If there is a princess from across the sea, perhaps there's a kingdom as well.

[[He shakes his head]]

Only to know what you meant about the White Mage being gone. [[assures, already heading out the door past to the grand staircase of the Hero Headquarters. Which is looking far better than he did when they first arrived! Why, the first floor looks almost clean! ... almost]]

You got it. I'll get some notes ready. Turns out our hunch was right; there's interesting news, but it's all last year so no one talks about it now.

Backstory, huh? [[a small smile]] I'll be there in ten minutes, so you'll have plenty time to write it out! See you soon!

[[Wavy lines fast forward to Bakura knocking on the door and calling up]]

Ginia? It's me! Bakura!

[Ginia offers a wave goodbye before disengaging from the orb. She eases herself out of bed and leaves the room. She checks up on Helios before heading downstairs, making herself comfortable in their living room, writing out all she knows as she waits for Bakura's arrival.

When she hears him at the door, she gets up and begins writing out a greeting on the short walk over. Ginia smiles at him when she opens the door and holds up her message.]

Glad you could make it. Come in. Do you want anything to eat or drink?

[[he waves cheerfully as he reads the note]] Maybe some tea after, but it can wait until everything's healed. What's broken?

Cracked a rib, but could you go upstairs and look at Helios first? He broke his arm. [Because Helios-bro needs to be taken care of first. Always.]

((ooc; After Bakura goes upstairs, he can thread things out with Helios, then Ginia will come back in after he's done.))

[[Nods]] All right. I'll be right down after to take care of you, okay? [[smiles warmly before heading for the stairs.]]

[ And of course Helios is also house bound these last few days. His arm pain hasn't been as bad, he's at least gotten some sleep finally, but it still hurts every time he moves and he can't honestly say the makeshift sling is doing much for him in terms of aiding with his spells and potion concocting. Giles and Ginia have been helpful but, gods, he really shouldn't have lied to Giles about it. He felt so guilty about the whole thing. He also feels guilty and brooding enough to not even hear or notice Bakura's entrance into the house.

He doesn't even hear him walking upstairs as he'll pace about his room deep in thought. ]

[[Hrrm... which way, which room...]]

Helios? Are you there? It's me, Bakura! [[calls, looking back and forth from the stairs]]

[ An abrupt pause as he looks...startled. Oh, good lord, he didn't even hear you Bakura. He starts for the door in a hurry then his hand fumbling with the knob as he opens the door all the way and sticks his head out of his room. ] B-Bakura?! Oh! Ah! I-I didn't even hear you come in. I-I apologize.

[[Aha! There he was! Bakura turns with a wave, waking over]] It's all right! Ginia told me you'd broken your arm, I came to take care of it.

[[You did know he could heal, right?]]

[ A light wince at those words. Helios backs away into his room some more as the other walks closer. ] O-Oh. Oh that's, that's what she was talking about then...

[ Ah he really should be more alert towards those sorts of things, shouldn't he? ] Y-You really don't have to. I-I mean if there's anything I can do to repay you for this...

It's really no trouble, so really, don't worry about it. If anything, it's sort of nice to be able to help out again... [[admits, rubbing the back of his neck a little]]

[ Helios looks a bit sheepish himself because honestly all of this was his fault to begin with. He nods and moves to the side to let Bakura step into his room. ] I-I really do appreciate all this. G-Ginia told you to, um, c-come up here then?

[ Ginia! That woman. Never taking care of herself first even if her injuries were more severe than his own. Though granted he would have done the same but that's not the point! ]

[Bakura nods, still smiling]] Un. To take care of you first before her own since yours was worse. [[as far as he knew anyway.]] I'll be taking care of hers after, don't worry!

[ And here Helios will give a tired huff as he shakes his head. ] Ginia.

[ He looks a bit perturbed at the other woman's going off and having him healed first. He'll certainly have to talk about it when he goes downstairs later. Helios blinks and nods. ] If-if it doesn't take t-too much of your energy. O-Otherwise multiple visits f-for myself is fine. I-I don't know exactly how easy it is to, um, m-mend bone.

As long as it was pretty recent, it's actually pretty easy. It's only the ones that are half healed but not correctly that are difficult, and I've been getting a lot of practice with those!

[[a warm smile]] Whenever you're ready, just let me know, okay?

It-it happened last night. [ A winces as he shifts in his position. He nods and shows Bakura his left arm in a sling. ] Ah s-so this shouldn't be too hard for you, good. [ He wouldn't want to inconvenience you with his own foolish injuries at least. ]

If-if you want to now I-I don't mind. [ He is a bit nervous and jittery but nevermind that! ]

[[a nod and another smile before he takes a deep breath, closing his eyes. A soft white glow, cool like the new breeze of spring, builds up around him as he focuses his energy and will, tousling his hair with a gentle breeze. Slowly, it begins to condense around his left hand, which he reaches out to place ever so lightly over the sling.

There's always a surreal feeling in his healing magic. His own consciousness follows the white glow as it seeps into Helios's arm. Through the skin, seeking to sooth and smooth down every aggravated nerve, every torn bit of tissue until it reaches the broken bone and wraps around it, encouraging the fractured fibers to knit back together, feeding the healing process with energy from Bakura's own soul.]]

[ It was a lot like Nala's healing properties and a lot like what he's used in Luceti. But the speed and reaction of it was so much faster and easier going than Nala's magic. Helios almost gasps out loud as he feels his own bones knitting themselves back together and the inflammed nerves cooling down as if natural coolant was being applied. He'll watch Bakura to make sure the other man isn't over pushing or extending himself as he does so. Because if it's anything like Nala's magic it takes a large toll on the body to use. ]

[[There's a long moment before Bakura's consciousness pulls back, slowly returning to his body as he blinks his eyes open again. It was always a touch disorienting when he put the full of himself into his magic.]]

How does that feel? Did I get all of it?

[ Helios watches is slight awe as he feels the pain disappear immediately. He'll move his arm wincing a little due to the stiffness but otherwise the break and the pain from it seems to have gone. He smiles warmly and his tone is appreciative when he replies. ]

Yes. Thank you Bakura. That, um, d-did the tick amazingly well. I-I can't thank you enough.

[[Bakura smiles warmly in return]] Don't mention it! In places like this, we all need to look out for each other, after all, right?

[ He smiles and shakes his head. He did have a point. ] Of course, of course. If-if you ever need anything magical or otherwise please don't hesitate to ask.

[ He'll just be over rolling his shoulder to get it back to normal. ]

Of course! [[He says, but he likely won't unless he's really in a bind because he doesn't want to cause trouble for anyone. Little bit of a hypocrite there]]

I'll go take care of Ginia now, unless there's anything else?
