Day Change: the 13th of Rebirth's Decline
Today is the 13th day of the Decline of the Season of Rebirth in the 137th Year Since the Wall Fell.
Rumors of royal marriages have been growing at an alarming rate. The dramatic love triangle between the Lady Prince, the Foundling and the Knight reached a crisis when the Knight proposed, causing the Lady to run off and the Foundling Prince to hide away, lamenting his lost love to his new love/sister, the Sage, whom one of the new Princesses was deep in preparations to put on the most extravagant wedding ceremony ever for.
The love triangle of the Wizard, Rouge and Sage has also deepened, with two of the three of them [or all of the three, depending whom you talked to] getting a home within the City walls. Rumor has that it was the result of a tragic accident in the magic show that the Wizard had put on where he truly did cut into his true love (reports vary on which true love that was, however, as some insist it was the Sage in the box all along, who had switched places with the Rouge magically to protect her from the failure of the Wizard's magic... all very tragic and dramatic) and the home was gotten for the Wizard to care for his love as he or she recovered.
In other house related news, the White Mage (the eligible one, not the child) was seen asking audience with the King! Whispers were exchanged with the doorman who reported overhearing the young man was also asking the King about a house, which could only mean he was planning for a future with one of the young maidens of the land who's been swooning over him so selflessly!
Back to speaking of royalty, there's been a flurry of disappearances of Princes and Princesses, and almost as many of Mages and Wizards! How properly scandalous for them to run off together! Since after all, that has to be what had happened! The cranky voice of reason at the tavern has been muttering about all this time magic crap tossing them heroes who should be out saving the Kingdom back to their own worlds and how it was a crying shame and someone oughta drag them back and make them battle the thorns like real heroes, damnit! But no one pays attention to him. In fact, no one's quite sure who he even is, except that he seems to be growing out of one of the bar stools....
Sparks flew earlier when the new Knight of Fire encountered his twin brother the tragically wounded Sage in the middle of the city streets Rumors are inconsistent with what words were shared, some reporters saying they talked of family matters, betrayal and murder (though which one of them did those things varies,) others say it was disapproval over the other's chosen path (as if people were ever able to decide things things, tsk tsk, everyone knew that was just fate!) and still others reported that the Knight mocked the poor Sage's injuries, or that the Sage mocked the Knight's lack of vision. Either way, sparks flew! Why, one girl says that the entire street was aflame in the show down! ... it was magically fixed moments later, of course. Later (or was it easier?) the Knight was seen speaking with the cursed Wizard of the Woods of dark topics, which only served to make the fangirlsstalking following the Knight swoon even more. So dangerous~!
Other rumors have been flying about a caped and hooded figure lurking on the rooftops. What said figure has been doing has been in much debate, some saying that the figure's been the source of a string of robberies in the market district (of which no one can recall who exactly was robbed), other saying that the figure stopped the robbers and left them hanging by their underwear from the church roof. ...what? Either way, the figure is one to keep an eye out for, if for no other reason than to say that you've seen it and speculate as to who-- or what! it is...
The weather is predicted to be rainy with a touch of weddings, (seems the forecaster has been caught up in the rumors as well) but the rain should lighten up by evening for a fantastic Full Moon. Prefect for lovers meeting secretly at night, eh?
