What: Shin goes dream walking.

Even in Dreams, Shin was restless. Without the normal background hum of hundreds of Dreamers, the Dreaming felt empty. Hollow.

Far to much like it had when his Dreaming had been sealed.

There were still the doors to the dreams of everyone who was asleep, even if so many of them seemed like cardboard cut outs... It was easy to spot the ones of those who weren't native of the world. They were more real, solid, and he could feel more clearly who was behind them. It was something he had noticed before, back home. The doors to fellow Dreamers were the more vibrant and real, and those who had strong powers were a close second. Idly he drifted through the insubstantial hallway, knocking on some to announce his presence, others just phasing into the dream and looking around. After all, it wasn't as if he expected most people to hear him knocking. They'd have to be aware for that, and he knew for a fact that there were no other Dreamers around and active dreamers were rare.

Edit: Also, since Shin power allows him to manipulate dreams, let me know if you don't want him to be able to with your character's dream, please!]]

"You can.. say that... I.. am... a... Dream.. Therapist."

She mimicked the man and sat down in another chair, her gaze and actions being completely calm. The good thing about talking in her sub-conscious is that she didn't need to feel afraid of passing out.

"It.. is.. an advanced... form... of the... technology..." Angela began to explain, perhaps because she wanted to talk with someone about this or just because there is a tiny hope that he will understand her job. "Going... as... far... like... to record... dreams, dive.. into their... consciousness.. to.... cure... the deepest... traumas... and.. change the.. world ...to ..be a ...better ...place."

So many things happened because of that pure wish.

"I was part... of that... organization... and I... worked.. there. I... helped as many... people.. as I... could. Sadly..., I can't.. do my job... here. I.. don't... have... the.. devices to... do it..., so I.. was surprised.. to find you.. here...."

It was an honest statement after all.

Shin blinked. "Technology?" he repeated, shifting to face her a bit better and relishing the fact that he could bend and twist any damned way he liked with no worry about his back. "You mean it's not just something people can do, but something you use a machine for?"

"It's... like.. creating.. a net... that connects... everything... into... a.. single field..."

It was hard to explain when her brain hurt so much to think, but she did her best to not show it. "Magic... doesn't... exist.. in my.. world. We... are trained... to be... Dream Therapists."

Huh. Shin blinked, looking at her a bit quizzically. "I wouldn't call this magic or anything like that, it's just... a thing some people can do. Like how some people can whistle and others can't, some people can Dream Walk."

... yep. Shitty way to explain it. Ah well.

"Can you... tell me.. more.. about... your world?"

She was curious anyway.

"I can try..." Shin shifted in his chair again before pausing. "Actually, let me just show you a few things, probably easier," he decided, getting up. "The school's a pretty good place to start," he nodded towards the building in the distance. "Mrs. F's school's pretty specialized, for those of us who have no idea anything about our abilities or even how to keep them from blowing things up or whatnot. I think there's only like... 30? of us there. Feels like more some days but I think it's just that," he smiled. "It's more than there were in high school, anyway, and that was a regular school. Most people who have any sort of talent don't really have much problem with them so there was only 3 of us who got the special ed treatment and one of them was that poor precog girl who really just needed to live on a mountaintop somewhere or something," he shook his head slightly.

For showing, he sure was doing an awful lot of talking.

"You must have plenty of memories of this place..."

She trailed off listening to him. It must have been really wonderful to have been born with such natural ability.

"Did everyone have the same ability as yours? Or there were others kind of abilities in that school?"

Would have been more wonderful if there hadn't been that whole "hey, we need to seal your ability up so you don't get kidnapped and used for a battery by creepy old guys," part, but he's not about to bring that can of worms up.

"Nah, Dream Walkers are pretty rare, actually. Well, really all abilities are, since there's all these different sorts. You have your precogs, your postcogs, your firebugs, telekenetics, people who see spirits, people who can make illusions, all sorts of things. It's just easier for Dream Walkers to find each other."

"That sounds impressive."

Specially considering that there was nothing like that in her world.

"What, having all those different types? I guess. It's just kinda how things were," he shrugged. "The mind bending stuff comes when you find out about everything else that's nor just normal people."

...so is she just talking slowly or are there actually pauses between every word? O.o

a mix of both, actually ;w; Sorry if it kinda horrible to read.

It really is @_@ Any other way you can do it that's easier to decode?

If you imagine that there are pauses and she talks slowly, I can write them normally ;w;

That would be awesome. You can always work it into dialouge tags and such.
