RD12

Characters: Sasuke and whoever else!
Open? Very.
Where: Somewhere really conspicuous in the middle of Schwanheim.
When: RD12, morning.
What: After getting a bit of sleep and realizing that throwing hissy fits isn't going to get him anywhere, Sasuke is more emotionally regulated and determined to gather as much information as possible on the thorns, the king, getting back home, and anything else anyone will tell him.
Warnings: Sasuke's filthy mouth and jackassness?

His entry into the kingdom had been explosive, and frankly he felt it was justified--extenuating circumstances and totally unfamiliar territory aside, he had enough people after his hide to put him on the perpetual defensive, and that wasn't factoring in his physical state. He'd been on his feet for three days following his brother's trail, and finally the exhaustion had caught up to him. He'd passed out in the room he'd first found himself in, because he knew it better than risking anywhere else, and in the morning things felt...

Better.

Not okay, but better.

Almost on a whim, he'd decided to put the armor on. It took him a few tries to get the pieces fitting together right--back in Konoha, only samurai wore armor and it didn't look anything like this--but once he'd gotten it all settled, he was pleasantly surprised to discover that it was light and comfortable. It rang when he moved, announcing his presence like a bell. Something else he had to get used to, but he liked the way the light glinted off the pale metal.

And he apparently had a horse, too. He'd been bowed at and ushered to the stables and introduced to her, a gorgeous mare with a coat like brushed copper, and she'd leaned in and nuzzled his neck after one whiff of his fingers.

He named her Amaterasu, the goddess of the sun.

They took to each other like fish and water, and by the time the stablehand had finished showing him how to saddle her up and mount, his spirits were higher than they'd been in a long time.

It took barely a nudge to get her to move at a comfortable trot out of the stable, and another to turn her towards the sound of voices. The more people, the more potential sources for information.

Bonding with the horse and well-fitted armor aside, he still had a mission to finish.

It's very sound logic, and it even fits her present situation. However, in this case, it's not about what she knows, but who she is. Or rather, who the villagers think she is.

Mute she is, but at least she's a swift writer.

An accurate statement. I'm hiding to avoid the horde of village gossipers who have nothing better to do with their time. Perhaps you've seen them around.
shadedsunlight: (Now home feels so foreign)

She nods, a roll of her eyes accompanying the gesture. As someone who liked her privacy, having people constantly watch, follow, and spy annoyed her. The only positive she saw was they were poor at it and thus easy to avoid, and if there was someone as good at gathering information as a hunter? Props to them.

Unfortunately, there is no particular person, not to my knowledge. You heard the story the old man gave on your arrival, correct?
shadedsunlight: (I was trying to remember your name)

About the usual for anyone around here, I've come to find. But our purpose here is to stop the thorns that threaten to engulf the world. Silly, I know, to think of a world being threatened by some flora, but it fits in with the ridiculous fairy tale nature of the world. Ideally, once the threat is stopped, we can all go back home.
shadedsunlight: (Never did get along with everybody else)

Some have. They're out to the east, closer to the mountains. I've been meaning to take a trip out there myself, but things keep coming up. She frowns at having her plans delayed, but so things go. Perhaps with the Hero of the Mountain gone, things can settle enough for a trip out there.

Ginia nods. They may have only met, but there's no sense in hoarding knowledge. While she has her reservations about leaving the world only because who knows what is waiting for her, others need to go home.

What's your name?
shadedsunlight: (You aren't so bad)

[personal profile] shadedsunlight 2012-08-03 06:14 am (UTC)(link)
Ginia. Nice to meet you. A bow of her head is offered in return. He could prove to be a useful ally too, or an enemy considering how he could see her while she was stealthing about. While she had a feeling there was magic or other abilities that could detect such things, he was the first to show he could.

Can I ask how you saw me?
shadedsunlight: (Should I just get along with myself)

Ack! I'm sorry, I lost track of this tag. /)_(\

[personal profile] shadedsunlight 2012-08-07 04:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Ginia nods slowly, storing the bit of information away. It's nothing she's ever heard of, but so are many things in the world.

A very useful ability. Can it do other things like seeing in the dark?
shadedsunlight: (Can you read my mind?)

[personal profile] shadedsunlight 2012-08-08 04:53 am (UTC)(link)
Very impressive. She can't blame him for his arrogance, it's the kind of ability that's pretty useful in all sorts of situations.

Fire, you say?
shadedsunlight: (I was trying to remember your name)

[personal profile] shadedsunlight 2012-08-11 06:35 am (UTC)(link)
Being afraid of fire, Ginia is glad there's no sudden demonstration accompanying his words.

That's very impressive. Are there other families that work with other elements?
shadedsunlight: (Should I just get along with myself)

[personal profile] shadedsunlight 2012-08-13 04:46 am (UTC)(link)
Are these Ginia pauses to try to find the right word. Ability seems like it's the best one. Spell was always something more magical to her and she's not sure if magic is the source. abilities things only passed down through bloodlines or can they be learned?

Sorry for all the questions, Ginia is a curious one when it comes to things she's unfamiliar with.
shadedsunlight: (I'm making a note here)

Ginia raises her brow at the clone when it appears. She steps forward to observe closer, marveling at how identical the two were. Molding energy, that made sense to her. The temptation to reach out and touch the other clone is great, but Ginia doesn't make it a habit of touching things at will. For the most part at least.

Very impressive. What can the clone do? Already her mind is thinking over the many tactical possibilities.
shadedsunlight: (We'll all float on all right)

[personal profile] shadedsunlight 2012-08-21 04:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Ginia watches the clone move. Impressive indeed. She can see all the benefits of creating clones for gathering information and wonders if there's a spell that could replicate the effect. Perhaps Helios would know something about it.

When the question is turned back to her, she smiles and takes a small step back into a shadow, then reappears several feet away on top of a roof, stepping effortlessly out of a shadow up there. At least Ginia hopes it looks effortlessly, learning how teleport around through shadows was something she was still working on. From the roof, she uses the same shadow to teleport back to the ground a few feet behind Sasuke.

Elemental base. I can travel between two points as long as there's a shadow for me to step into and out of.
