It's been some time since I've been away from Asgard and I recall the times I have left, it was of my own will. While I understand your land is in need of help, as some of the kind people here in town have told me, I have many things to attend to at home. Considering the events that have transpired recently, I believe my family needs me far more than the people of this land.

Not those who stole us away from our homes? I find that strange.

[ladysarmour]

There is no way to leave as we yet know, but-- Forgive me, do you mean to say you come from a place called Asgard?

[matrimony]

That is disappointing to hear.

[action, same place as sansa, feel free to have frigga recognize his form if you wish]

[sorcerous]

[ There is a soft whine, as soon as Loki hears the voice. He perks and barks, roughly, and scrambles to his feet, peering over the edge of the table where Sansa sits.

The orb is small, and his wolf's sight is not as sharp, but he knows it is her, and his ears are tense and upright. ]

[assiduous]

Right? [ luckily, mako was able to interrogate his greeter for a while before he had to save him from korra but... he ended up with more questions than answers, really. ]

You said you were from Asgard — ah, do you know a Thor, or a Sif?

[ he'll ask about the "YOU LEFT YOUR WORLD BEFORE?????" stuff after this bit. ]

[matrimony]

Yes. Thor is my son and Sif one of his oldest friends. Though I am curious as to how you know them.

[ladysarmour]

[ Sansa assumes he wants a portion of her lunch, so she cuts him a thin strip of meat and holds it level with his nose. ]

My pardons, my lady-- It is only that I have heard your kingdom's name before, from a lady here named Sif.

[matrimony]

[She smiles briefly but vacantly at the sight of the animal, focus on what the woman in the orb was saying. Her face alights at the familiar name but falls as she watches the woman interact with the creature.]

She is a dear friend of my children and if you are saying she is here, I admit to being relieved to know a familiar face is nearby.

[She pauses, attention now focused on the wolf though she still speaks to Sansa]

Your companion is rather familiar as well. May I ask his name and how you came by him?

[assiduous]

I've only met Sif, ma'am. [ "met" being a VERY LOOSE TERM for it but lskafjelksf!!! ] But I was interested because they're the only other ones here that are from the same place and know each other, besides my [ TEAMMATE, AVATAR??? WHAT TERM IS HE USING FOR KORRA... friend i guess????? ] friend and I.

[ a pause, how does he go about asking about forgetting things!!? he'll hold off on that for a second. ]

[sorcerous]

[ Loki noses past the meat, with a bark of impatience -- the rest of his breath escapes in another whine. Oh, if only he were of his own form again! If only he could turn back! Just the sight of her, and he longs for it, to take her embrace and to tell her I did this for you, it was for love of you, I wanted you to be my mother and truly --

His form trembles with tension. ]

[matrimony]

I'm glad to know some loved ones are here. [She smiles warmly.] We should both count ourselves lucky, if we are the only ones here who were granted our friends.

[ladysarmour]

She is, and two others -- a man called Thor and a sorcerer called Loki.

[ Her brow knits as she regards the wolf before offering the meat to Lady instead. Her hand goes to Loki's ruff, stroking him there in an attempt to soothe whatever has upset him so. ]

He has no name that I know, though I thought perhaps I might call him Rickard. He-- [ Here she pauses; no, she will not speak of the attack, it is past. ] He seems to have befriended my own wolf Lady. [ And here she directs the orb to where the smaller grey wolf sits. ]

Do you know him?

[matrimony]

[From the second Sansa says his name, Frigga struggles to keep composed. She didn't know what sort of magic could bring her child from the dead but at the moment the how didn't really matter.]

Loki. [Whether she speaks to Sansa or the wolf is uncertain, but the emotion in her tone is unmistakable. It takes her a moment longer to breath past the lump in her throat.]

I know him and he me.

[And then to the wolf:]

The first time I see you after all that has happened should not be in that form.

[sorcerous]

[ Loki whines and whines, in desperation and anguish. He would turn back, he wishes he could turn back, but he can't, he doesn't know how. He's forgotten how, or there is a curse that leaves him trapped that he cannot undo. ]

[ladysarmour]

[ Lady rises and goes to Loki, presses her nose into his fur in an attempt to calm him.

Sansa's eyes widen, confusion writ clear in them and on her face. ] Do you mean to say--

This wolf is a man?

[ She turns to him then, pulling her hand from his fur. She has gone pale. Her voice catches. ]

You're the sorcerer?

[matrimony]

Not a man, a sorcerer. He is my son. [Her voice breaks slightly.]

[assiduous]

[ oh my god, you are such a... mom, lady!! how do you do it.

mako nods in agreement, brow furrowed in slight concern as he runs his fingers through his hair-- a nervous habit. ]

When you... finally talk to them. Do you mind doing me a favor and telling me if they both remember everything you do? My friend — [ a pause, and it's obvious in how tight his jaw is that this is SOMETHING THAT IS GIVING HIM A LOT OF ANXIETY ] — I'm missing a lot of stuff that she remembers. I want to figure out if it's just me or... something that happens more than that.

[ IT'S WEIRD, being so open about such a problem! but he wants to give her enough reason to listen to his request, to see why it's serious business, why he doesn't just want to pry in on their private affairs.

if she doesn't want to, he'd get it. he'll manage on his own, regardless.

but AUGH being really open, and showing vulnerability to a complete stranger; this is a desperation he has not felt in a long time. ]

[sorcerous]

[ Loki wishes more for a mother's embrace than for this drama, and he drops off the table, darting to Sansa's closed door and scratching at it, with a mournful noise. Frigga must be somewhere in the castle. He can find her. ]

[matrimony]

[Because motherhood is one of the many things she presides over. She has to be good at being a mom.]

One of you has lost their memory? I will certainly ask when I'm given the chance, young one. It would be frightening to have neither know what I do.

[streamlines]

Things are totally out of whack where I'm from, too. Whoever's bringing these "champions" doesn't seem to be giving much thought to the balance of all the other worlds, too.

[NOT THAT she's been the best at restoring balance, and not that she wouldn't do her best at working for it anywhere, but the equalist thing was getting sort of pressing and personal. and she doesn't want to abandon that]

[ladysarmour]

[ A guard opens the door before Sansa can, so she's left half-rising from her chair when the door swings open to let Loki dart out. A thousand things run through her mind, from embarrassment to fear. A cold thing twists in her gut as she wonders if the wolf -- Loki, the sorcerer, the man who freed her from a cursed sleep and gave her a flower that smelled of home -- if Loki was listening to her conversation with Sif yesterday. Had Sif realized? Her heart thuds painfully in her breast.

But the orb is still active, and she must pretend. She is always pretending. Sansa turns back to the lady and gives a trembling smile. ]

I am so sorry, my lady, I did not know.

[assiduous]

[ ... it's a weird feeling, tbh. getting mom'd. ]

Just me. And not all of it, but some important things. [ UNDERSTATEMENT ] Thanks.

[matrimony]

They will have much to answer for their misdeeds.

I am sorry to hear you're world is suffering as well.

[matrimony]

Don't you fret, child. Not at all. You have given me something glorious by letting me know my son still lived. You have all my gratitude and more.
