[Good afternoon, in this wonderful day, and by wonderful I mean uh, muddy and warm according to the info, we have this guy, dressed in his white and gold uniform, looking surprisingly chill for someone who seems to be a recent addition to the "champion" roster.

He flashes a polite smile at the orb once it is working.]

Good afternoon, I’m a newcomer. My name is Stephane Benjamin, from house Lancaster, but just "Stephane" is more than fine. I suppose you must see quite a few of these transmissions, considering how good these guys seem to be at picking heroes, so let’s spice it up a little with some conversation.

Is there any kind of organization among us uh... "heroes"? Or do you just roam around and do whatever you feel like? I wasn’t told anything about champion politics, and I wouldn’t like to step on any toes.
Also, if anyone at least knows exactly what’s the thing we are supposed to be fighting, that would be nice to know too. Other than whatever they told me about those thorns I’m pretty much walking in the dark here, and I’m in a bit of a hurry to go back.

Any information would be really useful. I can’t offer much in exchange, but maybe we can chat and find if I can be of any help. I’d be glad to lend a hand, even in exchange for some casual conversation. Maybe weather talk? It's pretty crappy today.

[He grins a little this time, pretty satisfied with how his first timer speech came out.

For the rest of the day Stephane will be roaming and peeking into every single place that is not off-limits, and then later in some quiet place he'll be swinging his brand new sword to get used to it, and obsessively checking his old gun-now-crossbow to make sure it works okay, so I guess anyone who wants to can feel free to bump into him.]

From what I've asked of those who have been here, um, a bit longer than myself, the, the thorns really are what we're meant to be fighting. Odd as it may seem. N-Not the first time I've encountered plant life that was, um, a bit livelier than it had a right to be, of course.

...as for if there's any kind of organization, no one's, um, m-mentioned anything to me.

I haven't really found something like this before, but evil plant life still sounds much more positive than some evil spellcaster being behind everything, so I guess this is okay.

So, no organization so far...? [If this were Stephane's world, there would probably already be a "Ministry Of Inter-Dimensional Heroes" to handle this, so this lack of organization is a bit of a novelty xD] Have you been here for long?

Well, um, my theory is that there is some sort of malicious magic behind this. Unfortunately I, I haven't been out to the thorns yet. And I'm not entirely certain how much I could learn even if I did. [Being intangible, and all.]

A day or so. [But in that day, he's met a dozen people, reunited with an old friend, learned a couple of his ghost powers, and probably pissed off a god. It's been a busy day.]

Mm the thorns are a major concern around here. From, from what I've gathered. Some type of...dark magic I believe. I-I can't really say in detail however. I only just arrived myself a day ago.

Good to meet you too... Dark magic sounds complicated, but I'm still curious about how to get that solved.

[A thoughtful pause before resuming another topic.] I've talked to a few and most were recent arrivals, I'm starting to believe this kidnapping people and calling them heroes thing is not that old.

Mm the thorns are apparently quite hard to even harm. I-I'd like to try and at least get a small piece of one of them just to, ah, experiment with different types of magic... [ A hum. ]

There has to be a weakness or, or something that can harm them. As for the bringing in random people from other worlds it's...unfortunately not entirely unheard of. I-I came from a place that was similar, taking people from their own worlds and bringing them there. This place is...rather like that actually.

I train with whoever will join me on the training field each day. It isn't much compared to the organization of the King's Own, but it's a start.

It is a pleasure to meet you. I am Commander Eagle Vision from Autozam. Maybe I can answer a few of your questions.

A few people have made attempts to train the people here with less battle experience but when it comes to organizing against the thorns, I don't really believe anyone has successfully formed a group to handle that.
There really isn't much else to say about the thorns other than they are resistant to magic and only seem to truly become aggressive if attacked.

If you don't mind another question, do you know how long this place has been drawing people from their worlds?

I don't mind at all. I only wish I could give you an answer. I really don't have any idea how long they have been using this magic to pull people in from other worlds.

It wouldn't be surprising, since this place seems to be drawing us from different worlds, madam. I'm just... Used to old fashioned greetings because of my workline.

I apologise, but I honestly don't know much about what goes on here except the thorns as well, but I am planning on going to look at them myself.

I've spoken to a few people and they have shown interest on exploring at the thorns too, so if you don't mind, maybe we could join you? I was told they were about two days away from here.

It's nice weather for the plants, to help them grow big and strong.

I suppose that makes sense for one who raises plants... They are much better at dealing with these kinds of weather than people.

Ah... It was just an expression. If there really were excrement falling from the sky, I'd probably be more angry and less annoyed at the weather.

[And he chuckles... Just trying to wash away the mental image of that kind of rain. Ew.]

I don't think I'm one for a leadership position so as to propose organizing such a thing, but I do think that maybe some organization, and maybe getting to know the others who share this fate would help us to uncover whatever is behind those thorns...
