Day Change: the 17th of Rebirth's Height
Today is the 17th day of the Height of the Season of Rebirth in the 137th Year Since the Wall Fell.
The town is all a gossip about a very public fight between the previous Height Moon Princess and the young man she'd been dating since then. Every report of what happened conflicts with every other report, as often is the case when the people spreading the rumors weren't actually there but heard it from a very reliable source that...
One thing that can be agreed upon was that there was a curse involved. No one's quite sure what sort of curse it was, but it was a curse, yes indeed! Something about love. Or was it beauty? Or beauty sleep... It was so hard to hear over everything else, you know.
And with talk of a curse in the air, every little thing that goes wrong is being blamed on it. And some of the big things. Especially the big things. Though oddly enough, this has the side effect that once the curse is blamed for something, no one's too mad about what happened. Curses are curses, after all, and if a curse set the barn on fire when you left your it lantern in it when you were blindingly drunk, why that was hardly your fault now was it?
And that odd spinning wheel that's been spotted in the middle of town, or street or field, or even church, well, that's just someone pulling a prank. It is such a handsome spinning wheel, though. Why, it looks like you could just sit down there and start spinning away like you hadn't a care in the world and it would make even the most ugly washer maid look like a proper princess. Though spinning is oh so tiring, especially on a wheel like that. Why, did you hear that Helena wound up falling asleep while spinning on it? Poor girl's been working far too hard, you know. The nap will do her some good.
The weather is predicted to be cloudy and cool, with just a light touch of rain towards evening. Get your laundry in early!
[[OoC: This day will last from 4/8 til 4/14.
This day kicks off a Sleeping Beauty plotline! All Princesses will feel especially compelled to have a go at spinning, and Princes compelled to go around kissing all the sleeping girls to wake them. Feel free to have your character encounter the spinning wheel and fall under its spell!
