Characters: Mytho and no doubt the rest of Tutu cast
Open? Yarp
Where: Newbie land
When: miday
Warnings: Derp
This would be a familiar scene to most; Mytho standing in the middle of town, a bird perched on his outstretched hand, others fluttering about him. The crown was also to be expected, but while at first glance, it looked as if he had finally been dressed to his princely standard, the top of his tapered down in to a long flowing skirt of white and deep blue with gold accents.
It would seem the prince had been given the roll of princess in this new world...

"So all you know is that there are thorns here? Like in Sleeping Beauty?" she asked Fakir, peering up at a nearby fruit tree to see if there was anything ripe for picking. "Maybe that's the story we're in, and all they're trying to do is find Prince Charmi--"
A sudden flurry of twittering cut her off. Several of the omnipresent little birds swooped down from out of nowhere, chattering excitedly. Although their voices came out as something of a tangle, she could make out the basics of a message.
"Fakir! They're saying that a new princess just arrived!"

"Let's get it over with. Lead the way, bird whisperer."

"Hey!" she blurted before she could stop herself. "Are you new here too?"
no subject
"Ahiru... Fakir..."
Not answering the question, but it wasn't as if he had to.

"What are you doing in a dress?" he asked brusquely, frowning as he looked Mytho over.

After all, she might not envision a fairy tale ending with him anymore, but he was still her prince.
"Mytho!"

After a moment, he looked back up. "I woke up in it..."

"Your heart," she murmured. "I can't hear it."

Mytho looked back down at Ahiru. "It's not there...." It was said in such a matter of fact way, half as if informing her.

Following them down the road, she found him in the middle of the village, less-than-pleased that she wasn't the first.
"My prince!"

Duck stepped away from Mytho quickly, feeling oddly self-conscious--she'd forgotten how strange it could be, knowing they all loved him in some way. But maybe now they could all work together.
"Did the birds tell you too?"

"I knew you'd come for me," she said quietly, taking his hands with an odd sort of reverence.

Then she remembered that there had been no heartbeat in Mytho's chest.
Unsure of what to say or do, she glanced at Fakir, her face full of naked emotion.

So he just stood there. Rue would tell him what to do if she wanted something.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" she asked. "And just what on Earth are you wearing?"
Fuck you, internet connection!
"Obviously he's wearing a dress," he half-sighed. "As for the look, I think we can all tell what's happened."

"Maybe it has strange standards of what a princess is," he said. He looked Mytho over again and shook his head. This was worse than the time the girls in the beginners class had put lipstick on him.

It didn't take too long.

"There's always the castle," she murmured, rather lamely.
no subject
"Of course," she said. "He'll be staying with me."

"I agree. If we stick together, then we can all take care of each other. Right?"

Duck wasn't sure why she blurted that out as suddenly and with as much conviction as she did. But her hands tightened on Fakir's wrist, and somehow even when she said it she knew it was the absolute truth.
