[ Alanna appears decked out in light armor on the open field the king's men use to train. Her weapons are behind her and her violet eyes glitter with determination. ]

It's been quite long enough, I think, for each of us to get our bearings. It's time we started to train for whatever madness this realm intends to throw our way.

[ She turns to give a view of her location, the weapons ready to be used, other training gear strewn about the field. ]

If you're with me, we will meet on the training yard today. Bring whatever weapons you can use. We'll see if we can't learn to work together.

No. Not yet. They got some there?

Plenty, though they aren't very high quality. Good enough to learn with.

Are they going to cost much?

They're for the use of anyone in the service of the King. Like it or not, I believe you're included in that category.

Okay. I'll go get one. [Good. She doesn't have to try to steal something again.]

There are a few different styles, some different weights and designs.

What do you think's best for me?

A broadsword, I should think. The lightest you can find to start with.
