[ Alanna appears decked out in light armor on the open field the king's men use to train. Her weapons are behind her and her violet eyes glitter with determination. ]

It's been quite long enough, I think, for each of us to get our bearings. It's time we started to train for whatever madness this realm intends to throw our way.

[ She turns to give a view of her location, the weapons ready to be used, other training gear strewn about the field. ]

If you're with me, we will meet on the training yard today. Bring whatever weapons you can use. We'll see if we can't learn to work together.

Quite true. King Jonathan pays close attention to the complaints of his people, but this King Erasmus doesn't seem to do so. We'd be better served spending our time among the common folk if that's who we really want to help.

I believe that the king will be holding an audience very soon. I will ask him about the state of his people and see what he has to say.

Or who says it for him.

You should do that.

I'm afraid if I try I'll get myself kicked out.

I've stood before Odin himself. The king does not intimidate me.

...which is not to say that I won't get myself kicked out as well. All the same.

You misunderstand me. I would not dishonor myself by making a strike towards the throne, no matter how ill fit it may be.

But the King has made a strike towards you. By bringing you here against your will. Why, then, should he not be made to answer for his poor judgements?

[shorterinperson]

He should, but that would mean a proper challenge, and I have no interest in killing the king of this land in armed combat. Too much politics. [ She's very serious about these rules. ]

[brosif]

[This type of caution, Sif doesn't wholly understand. Odin threw his spear three times at Gullveig and was forgiven. Loki slew Laufrey and no one was upset with him for that murder.]

I am...interested in figuring out what has happened, and proceeding from there.

Me too. And I don't think the king will be of any help in that respect.
