I am Sir Alanna, of Pirate’s Swoop and Olau. Although my guests have assured me they haven’t the slightest idea of where either of those or even Tortall is.

I know his Majesty the King is in charge here, but I’m more interested in our fighting population. [ She says ‘our’ not to claim it as hers, but to emphasize that she intends to be a part of it. ] How are you organized? More importantly, when and where do you train together?

It certainly is. [Not as odd as someone building a weapon to turn the world's population into squirrels.. but still odd]

Theoretically, but I don't plan on supporting a kingdom I know virtually nothing about.

You're still assuming they're innocent without any evidence to back it up. Last I heard.. kidnapping was still a crime.

Then the king and his court are to blame. You're assuming they're all guilty, every last one of them, when most of them haven't done a thing.

.... and just because a person can make their own decisions doesn't make it the right one.

I never knew that trying to encourage someone to think or examine an issue from all angles was such a crime.

I supported my argument. These people have done nothing to earn your distaste. I, on the other hand, have increasingly more reasons to trust them and less to listen to you.

You just met them, that hardly is long enough to determine who they truly are, what their beliefs are, or anything. They could be perfectly upstanding individuals like you assume, or something entirely different. I'm just waiting to see before I decide.

Of course.. because I disagree with you. That's the only reason you have to dismiss me entirely.
