[Log] Up the Beanstalk

Where: On the outskirts of Schwanheim

What: A giant beanstalk has made an appearance in a field outside the capital. You all know how this goes.




The beanstalk that Gretel had planted was now spindling up from the ground out of sight into the clouds, almost five feet thick in diameter as it twisted and turned upwards into the sky.

Not very far from the base lay a large lady's compact mirror, at least a foot in diameter, stuck in the dirt, it's mirror shattered. The powder lay in clumps and dust all around it, metal bent and warped. The design on the back, however, was still intact, the impact mostly having damaged the bottom half.

Faolan snuggled close for a moment, then went bounding over to look up at the giant. As a small child, he was quite used to looking up at people and the relative difference of regular adult versus giantess meant very little [despite the great amount of difference]

"Faolan doesn't want tea. Faolan wants milk."

"Well bless me, of course you can have milk," the giantess smiled before looking back over at Loki. "Well, I heard that Beatrice had one a few months back, a horrid little boy who robbed her blind, I heard, nothing like the one that Marietta had last year who helped her with her chores. He still comes to visit, I hear, something about trying to make himself an ambassador so he could make it his job to come visiting. Isn't that just the most wonderful idea for a career? But I hadn't heard of any of you coming this far out, we're all the way on the edge of town, you know, practically out into the woods! It's really a shame, but Richard insisted that this was where he wanted to live, and after all the commotion with Harold and the boys, well, I couldn't just tell him no," she sighed. "It just gets so dreadfully lonely, especially with Richard spending so much time at work and Mother being all the way at the capital."
