Day Change: the 6th of Rebirth's Height
Today is the 6th day of the Height of the Season of Rebirth in the 137th Year Since the Wall Fell. Astute eyes may notice that the day title on the town bulletin board isn't actually re-written out every day. Someone just tacks on the new number. Apparently even the locals think that date is too dang long to bother with.
Today is the day that the Heroes who went out to investigate the tragedy that befell the village of West Haven return to make there report to the King! Though the knight that went with them to give a ride to one of the heroes has already returned, with out that hero! A defection? A casualty? A ditching? The town gossip has written an entire page of guesses, most of them utterly off the mark and down right confusing, on her daily post for the day!
Other rumors involve the sighting of some sort of man like creature with a yellow eye and backwards antlers who's been reported to be casting curses on those unlucky enough to cross his path, and a mysterious old man who's peddling magical items to children. Both have been deemed dangerous and to be avoided at all cost.
The weather is in theory supposed to be partly cloudy and warm, or at least as warm as it was the day before. It's a gibbous moon tonight, and there is some talk in the town of a celebration for the Height's full moon, mostly squabbling over who's doing decorations this time and what sort of refreshments should be prepared and no, you can't bring that dish again, not after what happened last Height Moon, really. Any good looking, rumored to be eligible hero of either gender may be approached by a moony eyed girl or guy of their approximate (or not so approximate..) age to be asked to come.
