There's a light chill in the air, the winds coming up from the south bringing with it the crisp smell of autumn, and with it, talk of the Pumpkin Festival; the traditional harvest time dance and celebration. But amongsts the normal gossip of who's going to try and get a Hero for their son and/or daughter to dance with at the Festival, there's another, more serious talk going around: preparations for the 'Ween of Hollows.

This is a new holiday, and it's clear from some of the talk that quite a few of the locals haven't quite figured out just what it's about yet. But one thing's clear; there should be ghosts and curses and hauntings and other such happenings, and every single attempt to get the Witch of the Two Faced Forest to provide them has been utterly thwarted by that horrible Fallen Hero she's been keeping around not even letting them get near her. And since the latest batch of Heroes has yet to do something about that tragic figure so in the Witch's thrall... well, they'll just have to find some other way to get the proper level of Spoop needed for the holiday.

Not.. that they're entirely sure what this Spoop is, to be terribly honest. As much as the Hero White Mage talked about the 'Ween of Hollows, Mages were, on the whole, horribly difficult to understand. But they're sure that there's something about skulls, grinning pumpkins, ghosts, and dressing up as fearful monsters to scare people.

Which means that the Heroes of the Kingdom are being accosted by requests for a strange array of items, some closer to what one would expect from someone trying to hold a Halloween bash, and some... well. There's a good reason the Witch has gotten herself a hired hand to keep these fractured fairy-brains at bay.
