Characters: Kori and anyone else
Open? Very!
Where: The castle library
When: the 5th of Rebirth's Height, Morning

As often he was, Kori was sitting in the impressive looking, but not quiet as impressively stocked library, his own personal library of huge leather bound tombs stacked around him. Because he'd been told that the Heroes might be coming to see him for information, he'd already summoned a large tray of breakfast treats of all sorts and had already powered through quite a few muffins already.

"It even withstood magic?" That didn't bode well. "Have you noticed that these plants have a weakness of any kind? Maybe if they have defense against magic they might be weak to swords?"

"It doesn't sound like they would be easy to get rid of." Eagle was beginning to understand just why everyone in this world had been so desperate for a 'hero'.
“You say you don’t know when the plants arrived, but can you tell me where they were first discovered? Maybe there is a clue to their origin there.”

"The unexplored lands?" Things were getting vague again... Solution, "Maybe you have a map of your world some where?"

"Thank you."

This map was given a complete looking over. There were a lot of smaller places, but the 'Unexplored lands' the boy had mentioned looked so far away from where the thorns had recently captured a village.

"Have you lost all of the ground between here and the unexplored lands or did the plant manage jump ahead and root itself in West Haven without taking all of the ground in between."

The mild of a military Commander trying to find where the 'front' really is.

"Also your forces, you must have some kind of army stationed some where? Do you know where they are or should I ask some one else?"

It was a good thing he had asked. The servants he had spoken to earlier and their King, had been very vague about the whole situation.

"Just disappeared, with no warning?"

"Could that be magic again?"

"So no one has been to see what happened? Some one must have arrived at the castle to tell you everyone in town had disappeared?"

Eagle was curious about that town but, sigh...

"Are horses really the only way to get there?"

Taking some one from an advanced age and plopping them down in medieval times does leave that person at something of a disadvantage. In this case Eagle was entirely unfamiliar with the art of riding a horse.

That is precisely what he was afraid this young boy would say...

"I guess I will have to look for a knight who doesn't mind having an extra passenger."

"My world used machines to travel, not animals. I am afraid I am entirely clueless when it comes to animals."

"Metal objects, sort of like the suits of armor I have seen in the halls of this castle only they are taller than a building, and require a pilot to get them to move."
