[Log] Up above the clouds so high
Characters: JW & the Giants
Open? If anyone else wants to head for the Giant Kingdom, just make a new thread.
Where: Just outside Schwanheim and up in the air
When: GHB 15
What: JW has a bright idea to try andsuck up to gain favor with the giants by giving back the powder compact that fell to the ground the last time the Giant Kingdom was in town
Warnings: JW is his own warning.
The hole in the flood that the beanstalk so rudely punched through the floor has long since been patched up, but there are plenty of spots where the clouds part just enough to let a bathtub fly through. The view above the clouds is a rather sharp contrast to the fairy tale town below; matching mailboxes along sidewalks and paved streets, finely manicured lawns dotted with short trees stretching in front of cookie cutter modest single family homes, each with an old fashioned car either in the driveway, in front of the home or just out of sight in the garage.
All 5 times the size of what one would expect, of course. This was the kingdom of the Giants, however!

Sorry about the delay!
He repeated this in his his head over and over as the washtub slowly lifted him into the heavens. He had armed himself with a small knife, a large bag slung across his back which contained the mirror, and a gnarly old staff. James didn't know a whole lot about wizards, but he did know that in order to make any sort of impression on anybody you needed a staff. He'd even carved some gibberish runes into it to make it look legit.
JW wasn't sure if it was his imagination or nerves getting to him, but he was almost positive that the air was getting thinner as the clouds drew nearer.
And then he passed through the gap.
When the land of the Giants presented itself to him, James froze up. That Bakura kid wasn't lying when he said it was like an old television show. He gave his hands and clothes a good once-over to make sure the color hadn't drained from them. His tub wobbled a little as his concentration drifted from keeping himself a float. He let out a yelp that was probably little more than a bullfrog's croak to this world when he dipped suddenly below the clouds.
He rose a second time through the clouds and after giving the giant's 'earth' a careful prod with his staff, he climbed ashore. Then, he dragged the wash tub through the hole and dusted his hands off.
The wizard looked around at the nuclear paradise and swallowed. How in the world was he going to find one giant in all this?
No worries~!
All the houses looked much the same, and the names on the mailboxes would be no help. All there was to do was head up to a house and try it, eh? Thankfully there were no fences to try and open and the front walks were all gentle slopes up front lawns. Those few steps up to the front doors might be a bit of trouble, but thankfully, JW's long legs will serve him well if he tries.

He really hoped they didn't have a dog.
Luckily for him, since his duel with Sasuke, James had gotten better at levitating things. Up his staff went to the doorchime. Once rung, he held out an arm to catch the staff as it fell back to him. He missed and had to stoop to grab it up.

"Dear me... have those kids been pulling pranks again?" she wondered aloud, not at all thinking to look down.

This was going to be tough.
"EXSCUSE ME MA'AM." he shouted before pulling the sling from his back around to his chest so that the edge of the mirror could be seen. "DID YOU LOOSE THIS?"

"I FOUND--" Okay, the yelling was hurting his throat. "I found this on the ground. You know. The actual ground. Down there." He pointed back in the vague direction of his ship just in case she wasn't aware there was an entire civilization down below.

"Looks like it. All the powder fell out anyway."

"You're welcome."
He turned and walked a stiff-legged walk back down the lawn. If one looked, really really looked, they could see a tiny trail of steam drifting from the man's ears.
