Day Change: the 15th of Great Heat's Beginning
Today is the 15th day of the The Beginning of the Season of Great Heat in the 137th Year Since the Wall Fell.
The King has gone missing.
The King's gone missing and no one know why or where. Some say he went to the White Forest and hasn't come back, others say he went to talk to the Giants and stayed too long for tea, others say he's just taking a break from all you gossiping harpies and get away from his sign board already or you'll meet the long end of his stick.
... Ole Man Signchanger's a little cranky, see. His mother in law's returned from wherever she went off to and is no worse for the wear. All that money wasted...
Oh right, the King. Yes, well, no one knows where he's gone to. The servants are in a bit of a state, trying to keep everything spotless and getting all the crumbs out of the second throne room's throne while they can (eating on the throne like that, really, King...)
In other news (oh yes, there is other news, even if the King's disappearance has taken over most of the day's gossip.) The charming Princess with the long hair who went missing during that whole Hero of the Mountains kerfuffle back in Spring's Decline has returned! But the Prince Sif seems to have gone missing in return... So terrible, how the heroes keep coming and going. Oh, if only someone could wake the poor White Mage so he could fix his spell to keep them all here! (cue swooning from the crowd.)
And in stranger news, the creepy horned demon who haunts the forbidden shack near the edge of the Two Faced Forest has been building... well, most reports say it's a wooden bathtub, but that's just ridiculous! What on Earth would he be wanting with one of those....?
The weather forecaster has taken a holiday and put up a sign reading "Clouds until those (scratched out) giants leave." Looks like Ole Man Signchanger isn't the only cranky one, oh dear....
