The great NPC Hunt! (Open NPC log)

Every role has its place, as all the towns people will tell you. The Witch is always in the Two Faced Forest, the King on his throne (unless he's off gallivanting again), the White Mage still rests in his spell bound sleep in the Monastery with the Monks (and Tom).

Those who have their own special roles, however, are always harder to be found... Where do you look to find Order and Chaos? Where do you look to find Balance...? Are they found in the looking? Or in looking, are you the one found?

"Sounds like a mess someone is going to have to clean up." She sighed. "I don't suppose you're interested." She thought about it for a moment. "Does...um. Chaos know about this?"

[thequestgiver]

"Or sweep under the rug like last time," the witch agreed. "And I wouldn't doubt it."

[golden_moon]

"Tha's not a great solution. The rug ends up looking like it's floating, people start asking about it, it's all lumpy...looks just terrible."

"You'd be surprised by how few people care about that sort of thing," the witch replied, tone amused.

Selene snorted. "I lived with a pack of wolves who thought rolling around in the mud was as good as taking a bath. I'm more surprised I care, really, than by the number of people who don't."

She shrugged. "Joking aside, though, are there any good options other than using the damned rug? I'm not much for taking a life, but would that be the answer?"

The witch snorted. "Unless you can kill the source, all it does is slow it down. I can't even remember how many champions have been defeated. Doesn't really matter with a damned anyway."

[golden_moon]

"Damn." She sighed, softly, and shook her head. "Are there paths through the thorns?" She shook her head a little. "No...I can look myself. Is the source of what's causing them located inside of them? Is it the same thing as the thing we're supposed to fight, or just a part of it, a servant or whatever?"

"How would I know? You think I've gone anywhere near those things to look?" The witch snorted. "But I'll tell you one thing, girl. Anything that claims to be a servant of anything is lying. "

Selene purses her lips. "Well, a girl can hope." She shook her head. "No servant, then. Ally, perhaps? Or do they only pretend to work towards similar goals?"
