I can't find Aralu or Hawk anywhere. Hawk's mom's gone too.

[[a slight pause. He really really doesn't like having to do this...]]

...and I can't work the stove in this stupid place.

Even if I could, I wouldn't burn peoples' houses down just because they annoy me. If you need your stove lit, I'll light it. If not, I won't.

How many stairs are there?

Quite a few, I'm afraid, but there are rooms on the same floor as the kitchens.

Well, I'm not much of a cook but I can start a stove.

Yeah. [[And he shifts to lift off the sheet he'd placed over the orb so he can actually smile properly at her.]] Need directions? It's that one house across the river from the smithy that's stupidly annoying to have to get to before of that wall.

[Almost everyone Liara spent any time getting to know has gone home, too. There's a bit of sympathy in her voice.]

[It is not long before a whispery Faolan comes home. After looking in all the usual places and not finding Hawk or Snow, he comes to Shin, lip wobbling and very distressed.]
