No. And, um, I've been in the library most of the day. I...was expecting to see her, honestly, at least in passing.

Reasonably. Or, um, th-that was my impression. Back when I was a ghost...well, um, she would help me get around. She could read, and, um, and seemed quite proud of the skill.

In addition, um, when the Hero was last a threat, we got together in the library for a bit to do some work.

[Cho doesn't see any "of course" about it. It's just as reliable as physical tracking. Probably more reliable.]

[ Behind Sansa is the window, with a view of the countryside. In the corner of the window, a flash of light off water - or is it ice? She should not even answer, Loki told her not to speak with anyone, but she can't leave Sif to worry. Her voice is hushed, a whisper. ]

[Sif's relief is palpable. She peers at Sansa's surroundings and finds that she recognizes little but the woodlands outside the window. Even that view is strange.]

I am glad, Alayne. But where are you? I was unable to send word.

[Then she is not safe. Sif cannot imagine any other circumstance where Sansa would hide her location.]

This is a strange day indeed, then. Even my lady's hair looks different.

[ Her lashes flutter, eyes glancing down. One hand comes up to brush a strand of auburn away from her throat. A lie is not so bad if it's for the better good.

I was in town all morning. Can't say she wasn't there for sure, but she definitely wasn't walking around.

[ that's not good at all. that's one of her people. her brows furrow. that girl is kind if not a bit frightened and she had no wish of her to come to harm.]

[And Sif's first suspicions on that front went towards the Targaryen girl. She is ambivalent about the fact that they have been misplaced. Good, that Sansa's enemy knows her not. Ill, that the scope of places the princess could be has just grown exponentially.]

I last saw her over dinner. We believe she disappeared sometime after that.

Have you heard any word since? She is a sweet girl, I would not wish her harmed.

[ her enemy was ned stark. her enemy were the people that slaughtered her family. not a girl a few years younger than her. there's genuine concern on her face. ]

How can I help?

[she is one of my people. i have not yet come to westeros but when i come she would not need be a sad girl but a pretty maid, just as i hope it to become. there's a sense of failure--failure in not keeping better watch over her simply because of that fact. ]

[Sif sees the concern -- believes it, even. But Sansa was adamant that the Targaryen never discover her true heritage. And thus, she will always wonder what that concern would turn to. Fire and blood.]
