3rd Orb - 19th of Rebirth's Decline; Evening

[It's been a long day. Too many long days, but today was particularly taxing between being set free from a curse and injuring the two people she loves most in the process, briefly attending a farce posing as a wedding, and returning as many of her ill-gained goods as possible.

That Ginia happened to find a piano in one of the rooms of the castle was perhaps one of the best things to happen all day. So seated at the piano, having traded her armor and dark clothes for a dress and the only jewelry a beautiful emerald and silver necklace, Ginia sets the orb on the piano, offering the briefest of smiles, being she begins to play.

After she finishes the first song, she pauses before she begins playing her next song.

There's another pause before her third song. It's one that takes a bit of thought and she's not even sure if the person who she wants to hear it is listening, but even if he isn't, maybe someone else will get the message for themselves. So taking a deep breath, Ginia begins to sing and play.

Her fourth, and final song, may be a little strange to anyone familiar with it. However, as Ginia sings and plays Silver Bells, it's intended for one recipient only. Everyone else can simply enjoy it.

Once she's finished, she bows her head modestly and smile as the orb.]

((ooc; Yes, that's right, Ginia is talking. As per this log, Helios enchanted a necklace (picked out by Giles) that allows her to talk. The necklace only works if she's wearing it, magic-canceling abilities will prevent the necklace from working.))

That's correct.

[Her lips press into a thin line as Ginia thinks. Being gone for so long, it was hard to tell when he began, and she never knew how long it took to make the first necklace.]

I'm not sure. Recently, I suppose.

It is a lovely gift.

It is. I'm very thankful for it. [Her fingers lightly lift the pendant, a soft chuckle escaping.] Though it is very fancy.

[She smiles]

I'm sure you can keep it beneath your blouse and out of sight, when you're not planning on going out.

It would be wise. Wouldn't want to make myself a target for any thieves around. [Her smile turns a little wry at that. There were thieves around, but none as good as her.]

Yes, the thieves in this town are quite...accomplished.

[shadedsunlight]

[Even if her days of reckless thievery were over, Ginia could smile over the little heist on the monastery.]

I heard some struck the monastery. Horrible.

Oh, no. With all of their fine silverware, that must have been simply horrible.

Don't forget the candlesticks too. I dare say even a cup might have been taken.

[Ginia chuckles lightly before changing the subject. Later, they'll have to talk about findings, but not over the orb.]

What's music like where you're from?

Well. It tends to have more of a...beat to it, for one thing. That, or it's a thousand years old and reminds the matriarchs of their youth.

Garrus has a selection of Turian anthems, but I only listen when he needs a friend. Don't tell him I said that.

I'm not familiar with anything from Earth that wasn't on some hit list on Illium or the Citadel.

The last time I was in another world, there were three things I wanted to know the most from other worlds; food, music, and stories. Food is easy enough to recreate if there are ingredients, stories can always be told, but music? Always a little tricky.

[A pause, then a slow grin.]

I'll add theatre to the fourth. Plays, movies, those things.

You like theater? I've a passing familiarity with some Earth plays.

The Elcor-cast production of Hamlet was very popular.

My mother and older brother were both actors, my older sister made costumes, and I danced. The performing arts was a big part of my life.

The great bard lives on. Though I can't say I'm familiar with Elcor.

They're another species. Most races in the galaxy find their communication incredibly flat. They use pheromones and infra-sound most of us can't detect.

I never actually saw the play, but it won several awards.

It sounds like it would be very fascinating to watch. I've always loved Hamlet.

I've read that it's very good, but I never had 14 hours to spare for a play.

[...Fourteen hours.]</small. Are hours still calculated by sixty minutes in an hour?

....Goodness. And I thought Angels in America was a long play.

They do sell abridged versions.

Note I do not mind if a play is long if it is a good play. I hope intermissions are included?
