(no subject)

Characters: Ginia Solana, Liara T'Soni, NPCs
Open? No
Where: The monastery
When: Night of the 18th
What: Ginia and Liara stage a heist

No security systems. Having looked around the inside of the monastery, she could shadow jump inside, sneak around, grab some books, and get out. She could turn invisible. Compared to some of the other heists she'd staged, this would be the easiest one.

But Ginia was still nervous. Even worse, she was jittery. She wanted to get going, she wanted to pull off the job, she wanted to go. She knew how dangerous that was. Excitement and adrenaline could cloud one's mind and there was no room for error. They spent hours talking and working out plans and now this was their first step.

Ginia waited in the shadows, admiring the stars up above as she waited for Liara. One last talk, one last confirmation of their plans, and then they could get going.

Liara doesn't intend to talk a great deal, either. Pulling her cloak up, she doesn't look over at Ginia. "Unless it will tire you out, it may be better if you remain unseen until we're out of the city."

She cast a look to the side as they passed an alleyway. "I need you to focus on what we are about to do. This is about everyone here. We have to start finding answers to the questions everyone here is ignoring." Liara turned her head to look at Ginia. "You understand that, right?"

The farther they walked, the more keyed up Liara seemed to get. Her steps didn't quicken, but she periodically slowed and held her hand out a little. "Still there?" Soft, almost whispered, but with Ginia practically impossible to see, at least for the moment, it was the best she could think of.

"You'll have to let me get their attention before you head in," she said. "We can't be sure how talented their mage actually is, but we need be sure he's focused a bit more on me, I think. To be safe."

"Books are the primary goal, but the older, the better. Be careful with them." She was going over everything they both already knew, but she was nervous and excited and couldn't really help it. "Spell tomes would be ideal, but histories are the second choice. If you can't read the titles, or the words, it's not a complete loss. Use your best judgement."

She took a calming breath. "The more valuable books for us might not be the ones they value most, but it can't hurt to look for any place they've tried to hide or protect a book."
