Orb Post | 14th of Rebirth's Decline

This place uses a weird system for the calendar. I wonder what month it's supposed to be by the system back home? I'd like to figure that out. You know, for the important dates.

[Faolan's head tilts as he thinks hard.]

May?

[His head cocks the other way]

What's a hemisphere?

We could ask someone about the harvest.

Or the solstices. If we can find that information I believe I could figure it out for you. Assuming you know about the measure of your own world's seasons.

How many months are in your year?
tenuefarfalla: (smile with hand in hair)

[personal profile] tenuefarfalla 2012-08-09 08:37 pm (UTC)(link)
And how long does each month last?

I'm Cho, by the way. Hi.

Hi, Gretel.

All right, I'm going to take a stab in the dark here.

January, February, March, April, stop me if this sounds familiar--
tenuefarfalla: (hello there)

[personal profile] tenuefarfalla 2012-08-09 10:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, that makes it easier.

So, we'll ask about the harvest and the solstices if anyone here keeps track of that. It may be more difficult to figure out our relative position on this planet, but we can just assume for the Northern hemisphere if we can't get a clear answer on that point.

Yes. If we can't figure it out, I think we should just assume we're in whatever hemisphere you're familiar with.

[It's a good question. Ginia wonders if it's possible comparing the calendar in this world to one back on Earth... or any other world calendar. She ponders the question a little further before writing out a message and holding it up in front of the orb.]

What calendar system do you use in your world?
greatsquirrelhunter: (serious)

[personal profile] greatsquirrelhunter 2012-08-10 02:18 pm (UTC)(link)
That is a lot of planet.

Twelve months, four seasons, three months per season. I suppose if there's a full calendar of this world around, it could be compared to the twelve-month calendar to see how things line up.
sadkitty: (thoughtful ☄ hm.)

Well, by the weather it's kinda like Rain's Hand or Second Seed... although, I don't know how many days to a year they have, I guess, so maybe it's completely different?

If so big, hard to find things. Should be smaller part of world.
