eswareinmal | Day Change: the 8th of Rebirth's Decline

There was good news and bad news. The good was that communication had resumed from the Old Capital! The old castle was in ruins again, but really, that was all for the best. No tourists would come to see a perfectly normal castle, after all! Ruins were what the people wanted! But the mountains were still silent, the bulletin board was still blank and clock tower in the market had ground to a halt. Mostly. Sometimes the hands moved, but it seemed to always move when no one was looking. Really, quite strange.

But despite these occurrences, all the town is buzzing with excitement about the Hero of the Mountain's arrival. She'd been spotted, not to far from the monastery, staying at the home of an elderly couple after restoring their fields back to health. Decorations are going up, the market is getting ready with Hero Sales and other such things and everyone is pestering the king to have another festival to celebrate.

Or at least they would be if they could find him....

Well, no matter. As long as he was there to bestow honors on the grand hero! They could party afterward.
