[Eliot fumbles with the orb, apparently not realizing that it's already recording.]

So, magic. Really? After living my whole life believing that magic, and fairy tales, and Peter Pan are just stories, I manage to come across the one real spell in my... Well, my world. Unless I'm really dreaming.

[He pinched himself. And winced.]

Nope. Not dreaming.

[He shakes his head and runs a hand through his hair.]

And if that weren't enough, I feel like I belong here. Which is just plain weird, man. I don't do this inexplicable stuff. It normally makes my skin crawl. And I don't normally like being abruptly taken from my team and wherever I'm currently calling home. But this time, it feels right. I mean, I miss my team. I wish they were here. But I'm not fighting to get home like I should be. And what's more, that doesn't bother me as much as it should.

[He sighs and looks around the room, his gaze resting lovingly on his new sword. He grins.]

Course, the sword might help with that. I haven't seen one this nice since Edinburgh.

I don't think anyone really likes being taken from there team, or friends. But, we seem to have been brought here for a reason involving the thorns of this world.

Ah, yes, the thorns. [A crease forms on Eliot's forehead.]. Is it just me or do they seem... almost sentient? At least the way they were described to me. Otherwise we could just develop a good, focused pesticide.

From what I gathered I'm unable to even talk to them. Usually plants, like us have a voice, but... nothing.

You... can talk to plants? Is that normal around here or some kind of magical gift?

I can. it's something that's connected to my power at home.
